Model – Millie Claire / MUA – Cloe Bunter of Makeup by Cloe Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / I won’t show the digital versions, seems to have caused a little friction on dA ;) Needless to say if you’re familiar with the original Snow White text, you might just know what this is about :D Melbourne’s Parklands have very photogenic footpaths. mission street, san francisco, holga madness. / kodak tri-x (having only been to the US twice i still find steam rising from the vents in the street most evocative, the locals probably find it annoying)

I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

One of the better photos I ever took on the Bronica SQa – bright sunlight streaming through a slight mist in a forest, near Innerpeffray, Perthshire.

Photograph. An image I’ve been working with I’ve titled “Closed Open Nude” printed this time on two different Asian papers and collaged together with Asian motifs. The primary paper has mango leaf inclusions. The secondary paper is a fragile taupe Unryu. A small square of Japanese block printed calligraphy paper is at the bottom, below that a section from a Chinese money envelope.

This is a little further on from where I live, but a short bike ride around the bay. There never seems to be anyone in these boats except teems of Seagulls, Pelicans and other bird life. I would hate to be hopping in and sitting down after they have been hanging out there. Loads of pressies left behind I imagine. Enjoy!

As I enjoyed my cappocino and fiddled with my Bronica Zenza 6×6 (80mm f2.8) camera, I noticed this interesting character. The man sat there almost motionless. I motioned to him if it was ok for me to take the photo and he seemed to agree. I had to guess the exposure as I didn’t have my light metre out of my bag. The exposure came out fine (F2.8, 1/60th) and the focus is not bad considering the medium format and how clumsy the camera is in street photography. I processed the negative myself and scanned the image in on a Nikon film scanner. I have left the edge of the negative as it frames the image well and it appeals to my purist tendacies. This is one of my fravorite examples of my documentary work, it makes me think of how times have changed and how society changes and some people feel they can’t keep up.

A view with the dark inside of a tunnel forming a silhouetted outline to the jagged roof line and distant cliff-tops beyond, taken at Dunnottar Castle. From the first roll I developed in Moersch Tanol, a staining developer with gorgeous tonality and low grain.

Seen whilst driving along the A9 out of Perth; we parked up and piled out of the car rather quickly to catch the sun streaming out from behind a cloud illuminating the tree before the light moved. Taken on a Hasselblad 500CM with Fuji Neopan b&w 120 roll-film.
