I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo
Lance is my own creation. I have some of his story fleshed out but not all of it. / He’s one of those kind of guys that succeed in most everything he sets out to do. In college he discovered that he had a talent for writing songs, and so took up the guitar. He and a group of friends produced a CD. One of their songs hit the charts and the money rolled in. Being the kind of guy he is he wanted to give back to the community. After college, Lance made some wise investments and played the stock market then bought an apartment complex for needy families. He opened a non profit establishment which helps the needy, ex druggies, and those in abuseive lives get the help they need and jobs to start a new life. He’s a all around good guy who’s kick boxing hobby had earned him many first prize matches, yet he does not believe in violence. / Well sooner or latter every one has to take their lumps, and Lance is no exception. After 5 years of marage to his high school sweetheart, and one 2 year old later. tragedy struck. It couldn’t be something simple, it had to be complicated. His wife and child are killed by a drunk driver. And it doesn’t end there, at their funeral Lance discovers something he wished he had never been born to hear. His faithful wife was not so faithful. / As he walked to the grave sited, he sees another man standing in sorrow. Lance’s kind natured heart goes out to what he thought was a friend of her’s he had yet to meet. But he soon discovers the man is not only her lover, but the real father of her child. She NEVER told the man she was married. Will the humanitarian be able to over come the rage now stirring inside him? Only time will tell. This was an experiment that came out nothing like I thought… it came out better… one of those happy little accidents! / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. Model – Millie Claire / MUA – Cloe Bunter of Makeup by Cloe Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / I won’t show the digital versions, seems to have caused a little friction on dA ;) Needless to say if you’re familiar with the original Snow White text, you might just know what this is about :D Melbourne’s Parklands have very photogenic footpaths. I believe this was shot in the Queen Vic Park… I dunno, it was hot and there were a LOT of parks. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas
The latest fashion. I shall be doing a whole heap of these now i know how. You need to be good at juggling cameras, however, they are so much fun. Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera. The result, to me, is a kind of dreamy, nostalgic (yep it’s the old camera) feel. All the dust, scratches, textures, increment measurements and imperfections come straight from the viewfinder of the medium format camera used here. All you lovely ladies, Dani Di Cesare, for making me see the light. hehe, Jules Campbell for her amazing explanation on this method and Kitsmumma for providing beautiful visuals on this. / You are all so inspirational. Thank you! Pssst PJ, i know i’ve seen an old twin reflex camera on your mantel, so you best get your creative visual juices flowing too. ♥

♥ Retro Film Cameras!
These dirty coffee cups were taken with a 5×4 medium format camera and tripod. The black and white film was developed by me in the darkroom and printed. I then scanned the print and changed it to sepia. I then added a layer of texture too. These were taken at Grange Beach, at the cafe, in South Australia, Australia. This shot was featured in the Happy Haven group, the All Things Coffee group and the South Australian Artists group.

I remember one of the loneliest times for me at school was when it was playtime. Looking around to see who and if you could play with someone. I think though it made me learn to like my own company .. I am still very much happy to be in my own world.
Another one for my series on school. And more work drawn from my relationship with school.
Sorry to upload another from my memory series. I am afraid over the next few days I shall be adding more as from next week I shall have little time to participate on redbubble as my course starts again. I am doing a course on alternative printing so hopefully will have something to upload. I apologise to for not being able to comment as much as I would like. I wasn’t going to say much about this image but I thought I would just paste in the reply I gave to Matt’s comment about it: A couple of weeks ago I went to my daughters school for a meeting – at the same time she had come out for playtime – I was watching her and witnessed a group of girls that kept running away from her – leaving her standing alone – in the end she stood there crying. I left the office and went outside to pick her up and comfort her – it was only then that the teacher noticed. When I was looking through my negs this afternoon I saw this one and it made me think of it .. There is an anti-bullying day at her school on friday .. they all have to wear blue .. i hope things improve but it does seem, sadly that the playground hasn’t changed that much. So yes, this is exactly what I was aiming for.
