  • The original painting is 30” x 24” Acrylic on canvas. / a film of me painting it with music by myself can be seen Here Or you can visit my main website to see original paintings for sale by myself and some other artists

  • Oil on canvas 40” X 40”. Completed 1995. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set him free” / – Michelangelo The Dream was the first painting that I had completed from a vision. Painting The Dream was a very interesting process for me. I was concerned how others would react to a non-Aboriginal person using a style normally synonymous with Aboriginal art, i.e. dot painting. For this reason, when it was completed, I was hesitant to show it to anyone for some years. In November 1999 I succumbed and included The Dream, along with The Awakening, in a Sacred Art exhibition that featured six local artists. The exhibition began with a special welcoming ceremony performed by the Aboriginal Elders of the region. Afterwards, the Aboriginal Elders approached me and asked questions about my visions and paintings. They said they liked my work. I was so happy and relieved to hear that. Local dignitaries, including the Governor of South Australia, Sir Erik Neal, attended the public opening. To my surprise Sir Erik Neal invited me to display The Dream at Government House (his official residence) for six months to which I agreed. After the exhibition, The Dream featured in the main boardroom of Government House to be viewed by visitors from all over the world. The story of The Dream is about the creation of our universe. The snake (Rainbow Serpent) represents the Creator. The centre shows the creation of our universe, with the hands representing the creation of spirits in all dimensions and the eggs, the creation of life. The greens and browns represent land and all things that live on the land. The shades of blue and purple represent water and all creatures that live in water. The branches and red berries represent nourishment and sustenance. / At this stage in the story, Creation is not complete; hence the black (unfilled) background at two corners. The Rainbow Serpent has entered a sleep state and has begun dreaming our future. The Dream is the first of a series showing the transition of the universe from Creation to enlightenment. The next of the series is The Awakening.

  • From the original mandala, acrylic with metallic overlays ORIGINAL $850 plus P&H I was in a 3 hour breathwork therapy session (yeah, I do a lot of those LOL) and on the way into the trance, these chinese dragons appeared and told me they were there to protect and help me… At the end, coming out, all I saw was the most incredible white lotus… it filled my heart and my head and even now, when I look at this mandala, I am at complete peace. The simplicity of the design symbolises the simplicity of our natures – if we just Let Go and Go With The Flow and TRUST that it will be all OK and learn to BREATHE with it, then we will find a kind of peace within us all. Learning to live in the present moment is one of my personal quests! This is a very powerful meditation mandala. The original is for sale… Enjoy:)

It’s the end of the year, and naturally I’m thinking of how much I’ve evolved creatively over the last year. I’ve just completed my first poetry book, which is currently in production, and now I find myself looking “beyond my sight” to see what lies out there waiting to be discovered. • The mudra of an Indian dancer montages on mango leaf paper.

  • PLEASE VIEW LARGE.. !! This was taken early in the morning as we arrived for our journey to the Elephant Seal area. Mists and light and Peace. Taken in the Año Nuevo SNR State Natural Reserve Northern California / ELEPHANT SEAL AFTERNOON I have used this form of morning meditation for quite some time and feel the ease of this practice and results in a more generous day with better focus. This is a meditation to begin the day. In a seated pose, focus on your breath. Cultivate a steady, relaxed breath. Then ask yourself: What is my intention today? After posing the question, rest your attention on the out-breath. This creates a spaciousness of attention on the in-breath. There is no direction for the in-breath. Do not get carried away by thinking, but also do no tightly control the attention. Continue to notice each out breath. Sit until you are struck by a clarity of intention. It comes not by chasing it down with thinking, but by stilling the mind and creating space. It may take a few minutes, or much longer. If no specific intention announces itself to you, simply commit to acting ethically and with mindfulness. That is certainly an intention that we can all practice each day. This meditation seems simple, and it is simple. It’s power lies in its ability to help us act intentionally throughout the day. If you practice this meditation each morning, you will find yourself more ‘awake’ behind the wheel of your life*.

  • Apophysis fractal no postwork except cropping. It’s a two for one! I couldn’t decide which song I liked best, I’ve been a huge fan of Crosby, Stills and Nash forever and also the Grateful Dead. I like each tune equally!! So…... not to decide is to decide! heh heh Here’s Crosby, Stills & Nash’s Dark Star with some very cool fractal looping video, how apropos huh?! Lyrics: / Forgive me if my fantasies might seem a little shopworn / I’m sure you’ve heard it all before I wonder what’s the right form / Love songs written for you it’s been going down for years / But to sing what’s in my heart seems more honest than the tears I am curious / Don’t want to hurry us / I’m intrigued with us / Ain’t this song a bust / I don’t care dark star I met you several years ago / The times they were so strange but I had a feeling / You looked into my eyes just once / An instant flashing by that we were stealing Another time you felt so bad / And I wasn’t any help at all as I recall / We didn’t know quite what to do so we left the wanting be / Still there for me and you Dark star I see you in the morning / Dark star a’ sleeping next to me / Dark star let the memory of the evening / Be the first thing that you think of / When you open up your smile and see me dark star It’s easy to be with you / Even with the storms that rage beneath your search for peace / We must make some time together / Take the kids and find a world that’s ours to keep Now you’ve got me dreaming girl / It’s been so long that I thought that I’d forgotten how / My heart is once again my soul / We touched we did you know we did no more teasing now / / Chorus Let the memory of the evening / Be the first thing that you think of / When you open up your smile and see me dark star And then, here’s an awesome Grateful Dead jam called Dark Star as well with an equally cool and trippy video! I love these lyrics….... Dark star crashes, pouring its light into ashes. / Reason tatters, the forces tear loose from the axis. / Searchlight casting for faults in the clouds of delusion. / Shall we go, you and I while we can / Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds? Mirror shatters in formless reflections of matter. / Glass hand dissolving to ice petal flowers revolving. / Lady in velvet recedes in the nights of good-bye. / Shall we go, you and I while we can / Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?

  • acrylic painting on caleria acrylic pad sheet, 3000gsm 140lb 100 acid free winsor newton, 16×12 inch 405×305 mm “The core of Krishnamurti’s teaching is contained in the statement he made in 1929 when he said: ‘Truth is a pathless land’. Man cannot come to it through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, not through any philosophic knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. Man has built in himself images as a fence of security – religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs. The burden of these images dominates man’s thinking, his relationships and his daily life. These images are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man. His perception of life is shaped by the concepts already established in his mind. The content of his consciousness is his entire existence. This content is common to all humanity. The individuality is the name, the form and superficial culture he acquires from tradition and environment. The uniqueness of man does not lie in the superficial but in complete freedom from the content of his consciousness, which is common to all mankind. So he is not an individual. Freedom is not a reaction; freedom is not a choice. It is man’s pretence that because he has choice he is free. Freedom is pure observation without direction, without fear of punishment and reward. / Freedom is without motive; freedom is not at the end of the evolution of man but lies in the first step of his existence. In observation one begins to discover the lack of freedom. Freedom is found in the choiceless awareness of our daily existence and activity. Thought is time. Thought is born of experience and knowledge which are inseparable from time and the past. Time is the psychological enemy of man. Our action is based on knowledge and therefore time, so man is always a slave to the past. Thought is ever-limited and so we live in constant conflict and struggle. There is no psychological evolution. When man becomes aware of the movement of his own thoughts he will see the division between the thinker and thought, the observer and the observed, the experiencer and the experience. He will discover that this division is an illusion. Then only is there pure observation which is insight without any shadow of the past or of time. This timeless insight brings about a deep radical mutation in the mind. Total negation is the essence of the positive. When there is negation of all those things that thought has brought about psychologically, only then is there love, which is compassion and intelligence.”

  • There is a part of us that ages-our body, primarily-and a part that doesn’t. The part that doesn’t age has something to do with the mind, but it isn’t the mind as we usually think of it; our mental faculties of memory and concentration begin to slowly subside with age just as the body does. But our primary or innate awareness, our feeling of being alive, of just being here, doesn’t age. It is as bright as always, like a candle flame that puts out steady light, whether the candle is new, half gone, or almost out.The trick is to pay attention to the flame, and not the candle. The flame of a candle half gone may burn just as it did at the beginning, but by now it has burned longer, and it knows something about burning. Innate awareness never ages, though the body does, and maturity and wisdom is the compensation for what time eases from our grasp. From Lewis Richmond’s The Candle Flame Burns Just As Brightly
