This is a soft pastel drawing on stretched kraft paper. Size of original work is 150cm x 100cm. Working on her was a wonderful escape into meditation and serenity. A world away from the shitty relationship I was stuck in at the time.

I live by the sea… the sea the sea the beautiful sea…. and because I’m a fully paid up card carrying eccentric and arty farty type…. I sometimes get up before the dawn and walk down to the beach and watch the sun come up….. sometimes all I get is an overwhelming need for a nap in the afternoon ….. and sometimes what I get …. is all golden…...

I live by the sea…. some times I get up before the dawn and go down to the sea to watch the sun come up…. sometimes I think I’ll be the only one there… but I never am… there is always some one else who has beaten me to the bright beautiful new day…... doesn’t matter though ….. the brand new day always calls it’s own worshippers to it

I live by the sea… sometimes I get up before the dawn and go down to the sea to watch the sun come up…. and this is what I see down by the sea… and then I swim in it…. it makes me all goosebumps all over… then I go home and read the paper and drink tea… hmmm the sea and a nice cup of tea….. lovely
