Couple of deer that found their way into my backyard to graze on my freshly cut grass. I was quite surprised how long they stayed. I managed to park my car, run up stairs, grab the good camera, run back down stairs, and click off at least 20 shots. It was dusk so the flash kept going off! Every time it did the deer would look up, but it was not enough to scare them off. I was sure they would run off which is one reason I didn’t adjust the camera – just kept clicking!

A popular Renaissance motif combining an anchor (restraint) and dolphin (speed) with the Augustan motto ‘festina lente’ (hasten slowly). The Anchor in symbology usiually depicts hope, salvation, safety, firmness, fidelity and prudence. This drawing was intended to being an illustration in my book, “Sailing through the 7C’s” and was inspired by Mattie J.T. Stepanek, from his book “Loving through Heartsongs”... “Most people believe “S.O.S.” is a signal that shouts “Save our Ship” during times of distress. Maybe people should believe it is a symbol that prays “Save our Spirits” or “Save our Souls” during times of distress. Then most people would believe, and we could all be unified in an attempt towards the most important message of all…”Save Our Salvation”!” Mattie was 12 years old when he wrote these words, and only lived to be 14 ~ if you have not read this ‘peacemaker’s’ works, I urge you to, as his wisdom and love was as big as the sky. Drawing with markers photographed and edited in photoshop7 with Redfield plug-in fractilius. Billy Gilman singing Mattie’s words
