While walking on Amsterdam Avenue, during a snow storm, I happen to see this sight. Three snow covered bicycles waiting to be used to deliver take-out in a snow storm. It has been the one work of art that has brought me the most praise.
My attempt at a mirrored reflection. How’d I do?
This piece is a collaboration bewtween AlienVisitor, and myself. This is for the Alien Worlds/Landscape Challenge, which is to create a realistic sky to complement aspects of the land mass. The land mass and water are by AlienVisitor, the moderator. The moon was shot by me one morning. The fog is sky clouds with the opacity reduced. All with a lot of Photoshop thrown in. AV Challenge is the winner of the challenge, and will be the Avatar for the Alien Worlds/Landscape Group until January 2009.
View from Belvadere Castle overlooking Turtle Pond. Turtle Pond, so named because of its occupants, is also used in the summer time as a fishing ground for at lest two black and one white heron.
Taken while walking the streets of New York City during a snow storm. West 66th Street, off of West End Ave.
Taken at the Central Park Zoo. This beauty took exception to me invading it’s privacy. It spread it’s wings and flew at my head, when I instinctively raised my camera to protect my head, it changed direction and flew to the upper level. For those of you that are familiar with chicken breeds and temperaments, you will understand when I say I had a brief flashback of an incounter with a Road Island Red. This is a Nicobar Pigeon . /
This guy was resting on my car. I had to snap it.
This was shot from a bridge over the Sussquehanna River. It shows the power of the sun to burn through the mist, (above), and the power of the mist to filter the sun’s brightness, (below).
I left this piece untitled because too many titles presented themselves. I have it on my hard drive as “Get a Room”, but “Be My Valentine” and “Shotgun Wedding” also popped up. It could also be that mom is feeding an offspring that has been in the crib waaay too long. Check out the eyes on gray, that’s either enjoyment or near death. You decide.
Sunset over New Jersey as seen from New York City along the Henry Hudson River.
