Self portrait… Just felt like playing with the camera! Kinda weird looking at myself this close though….hmmmm! Here ya go anyway! I’m happy to say that this inspired a Redbubbler! Payette Lake – Idaho. / Cropped. B&W Conversion. Tone Curve. Saturation. For those of you who know me, you know as well that I never do B&W Photography. I have a thing for color, as simple as that. The range of texture in this would not let me suppress it any longer. So do enjoy my first and quite possibly only B&W Conversion ever. My new Tiny Betsy McCall. She reminds me of a young Shirley Temple. I really need to start buying some miniature furniture and start creating dioramas or something, I think Tiny Betsy would be good for that. But I keep spending my money on more dollies instead.
Taken while traveling towards McCall, Idaho.
My sister and I went around Our little Town today taking pictures of anything that looked fun. This is one of several. I am going to finish going through them and see if I find anymore I want to put up. Hope you like it and any input or constructive Criticism is greatly appreciated.
My sister and I went around Our little Town today taking pictures of anything that looked fun. I wanted to get out and see some new places but it turns out some of the old ones are just as pretty as before. Then looking from a different angle it makes a whole new picture.

Whilst searching on the Internet for a Crocodile poem, I came across this beautiful tribute to Steve Irwin – “The Crocodiles are Crying” by Rupert McCall (2006). At the time of Steve Irwin’s death in 2006, we were travelling overseas, so I didn’t get to see or hear much. Some of you may have already heard this poem, but for those of you out there that haven’t yet had the opportunity, I thought I would post it on Redbubble. In 1994, Rupert McCall retired as a solicitor and followed the path of his passion – poetry. In this field, he has carved out a proud niche for himself in the Australian character and culture and is the author of five successful anthologies. / With various roles in radio and television stemming from his creative persona, Rupert has made 4BC (Brisbane Radio, Australia), the current outlet for his rhyme and his reason. “THE CROCODILES ARE CRYING” (By RUPERT McCALL 2006) Endless visions fill my head – this man – as large as life And instantly my heart mourns for his angels and his wife Because the way I see Steve Irwin – just put everything aside It comes back to his family – it comes back to his pride His animals inclusive – Crikey – light the place with love! Shine his star with everything he fought to rise above The crazy-man of Khaki from the day he left the pouch Living out his dream and in that classic ‘Stevo’ crouch Exploding forth with character and redefining cheek It’s one thing to be honoured as a champion unique It’s one thing to have microphones and spotlight cameras shoved It’s another to be taken in and genuinely loved But that was where he had it right – I guess he always knew From his father’s modest reptile park and then Australia Zoo We cringed at times and shook our heads – but true to nature’s call There was something very Irwin in the make up of us all Yes the more I care to think of it – the more he had it right If you’re going to make a difference – make it big and make it bright! Yes – he was a lunatic! Yes – he went head first! But he made the world feel happy with his energetic burst A world so large and loyal that it’s hard to comprehend I doubt we truly count the warmth until life meets an end To count it now I say a prayer with words of inspiration May the spotlight shine forever on his dream for conservation ...My daughter broke the news to me – my six year old in tears It was like she’d just turned old enough to show her honest fears I tried to make some sense of it but whilst her Dad was trying His little girl explained it best…she said “The crocodiles are crying” Their best mate’s up in heaven now – the crocs up there are smiling! And as sure as flowers, poems and cards and memories are piling As sure as we’ll continue with the trademarks of his spiel Of all the tributes worthy – he was rough…but he was real As sure as ‘Crikey!’ fills the sky I think we’ll miss ya Steve…goodbye
