I love this image of Christiane…reminds me of an old Art Deco image. I love the romance of that period between the great wars….an age of innocence…an age of decadence! as an addition: I now have this as 1m sq canvas in my living room!

This a shot I took of Norita…trying to emulate the old Hollywood Flash bulbs…you know the screw in one they used in the movies. You could use a ring flash I thought…but then decided to use the studio flash instead…so the best way, is to use 2 lights directly in front of the model and then the camera on remote in front of the lights. So we have a 100 cm softbox set on say f8 and a flash head with mid range honeycomb in front set on f10/11.. the camera is positioned in the same plane just under the honeycomb…have I lost you yet. Then you squeeze in and frame the shot through the viewfinder…step back and use the remote. Sorry to be boring…but I think I got the desired effect!
