I’m finally at the end of my journey – and our final destination is Paso Robles (just 4 hours north of LA), yes, I’ve been to Italy, the Greek Islands etc, however, this is the biggy for me…. the West Coast Kustom Nationals – touted as the biggest and best kustom car show in the USA. And, can I say I’m not disappointed, it’s like swimming in a land of the best and coolest cars in the world, (pity I don’t have my 57 Cadillac with me).... Now this car is exactly as it appears here – not tricky Photoshop work at all… it has had 6 inches chopped from the roof and also the bottom of the car… It’s a driver and is actually staying at the hotel I’m staying at. As I’m writing this, I’m wearing a “Noble Fabrications” black T-Shirt given to me and my daughter as a present from the friendly driver. How cool is that! I am also photographing the 3-day event for an Australian magazine called “Hot Rod Revival” – so I’ll try and restrain myself and only upload one or two images as I don’t want to bore you all…. Anyway, how cool is this car!

On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Image of a male Australian Fur Seal(Arctocephalus pusillus),taken at Popes Eye Marine Park,Port Phillip Bay,Victoria.There was a colony of seals in the area many very inquisitive,this big fella got closer than I would have liked a few times.I was fortunate to observe males play fighting & asserting there dominance by slapping there fins on the water & then attacking each other,dont know whether it was stupid to be in amongst it but it sure was one of those magical moments in diving. © Copyright M.Tworkowski

Lil Formers is a parody comic strip created, written, drawn, inked and coloured by me, Matt Moylan. It started off poking fun at all aspects of Hasbro’s Transformers mega-property (hence the ‘Formers’ in the title). Scuba Diva was influenced and inspired by two friends of mine here on Red Bubble, both of their names have the initials MT Muscular Teeth who a great friend of mine challenged me to create this one… and MattTworkowski inspired me with his beautiful photographs from under the sea…. /

Water from the ocean on a calm morning with no waves around the rock pools. Domes and architecture from buildings around Sydney. For some time now I’ve been besotted by Mel Brackstone’s SS Dicky images. She generously shares much information about how she gets such remarkable images, like this for example / I finally bought some NDgrad filters and this and my next image are my first attempts to use them to capture the movement of the ocean, I have much to learn. Thanks for the inspiration and advice Mel. Canon 450D ISO100 F5.6 6/10s f18mm (Cokin 121s ND Grad)

I processed this using a script-fu plug-in for Gimp which attempts to mimic the Fuji Velvia slide film that I used to love so much in the days before digital.
