“PARENTS OBEY” departs from the complicity after the popular Shepard Farey “Obey” images and street art. It introduces an ambiguous element around the idea of social surveillance and obedience through the depiction of a baby in the message, baby that demands and is subject to parental obedience. An infantile message from one that supposedly has no formal authority, and yet it positions himself at the axis of control of his family surroundings. —-—2008 --—— “PARENTS OBEY” (Padres obedeced) parte de un guiño sobre las populares imágenes y arte callejero de Shepard Farey “Obey” introduciendo un elemento ambiguo sobre la idea de la obediencia y vigilancia social a través de la imagen de un bebé en el mensaje, el cual pide y está sujeto a la obediencia paterna. Mensaje infantil del que se supone no tiene autoridad formal y sin embargo se posiciona como eje del control en su entorno familiar.
