  • if you want to look like a badass u have to buy this shirt, you will get in so many hectic fights it’ll be mad.

  • As a reader Tarot has fascinated me for many years. I love the connection it creates between you and the querant – the privilege of being let into their life for even a brief time to explore things that really matter to them. And the process of giving them the gift of maybe seeing something that had been intractable to them in a whole new light. / I also love masque and candle light so Alison joined me to try and pull these different elements together.

  • i was bored one day, decided to play with some makeup and my masque. <3>

  • Many of the Stalls in Venice had these great masks on for sale. I thought they made great pictures, when I could take them without stall holders watching. I have applied a poster filter and turned up the colour slighly. Interestly enough there was a cobweb that was not so noticible on the original… but after seeing on the page, couldn’t leave it there any more, so I took it out. I am sure they sell, however when you have already overloaded luggage you cannot risk a breakable item.

  • The writing in the background is from one of my poems that I was transferring from one place to another, as I was preparing a book to (hopefullY) be published soon. The fact that the writing ended up in the picture was a bit of a happy accident as I meant to press “new” and instead pressed “new from clipboard” so I ended up with what I thiought was a blank black “canvas” but which was, really, a black canvas full of poetry.

  • Children see and know more things than we imagine. They look innocent, the act sometimes simple but they more smart than we think !!!! Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t. (Mark Twain) Thanks to Margò featured in behind the mask

  • Very early pen/ink. Don’t know what the hell I was thinking back then. 210×290

  • Here’s my nod to the Halloween-horrors of life: the mask that isn’t a mask. It’s the face of cruelty and ignorance and greed and hate…all gussied up with feathers and pretty colors. Try to remove it and you’ll find that it’s not a mask at all. It’s the visage of evil, not a treat at all. Scanned image of me in a mask, with photo images of tree trunks added for texture and one image of my eyes (I don’t keep my eyes open for scanning…). Editing and digital painting done in Photoshop Elements 3, scanning completed in ArcSoft Photostudio and CanoScan8800F. /

  • I’m going to unashamedly say that I am hugely proud of this piece. For a long time I just sat and looked at it after I finished it, not knowing exactly what to call it. It feels so very personal, so uniquely me, I considered things like “Beautiful Insanity”...along those lines. But, in the end “Where do I Begin?” came to mind and I went with it. All my own photos and textures used. FEATURED in All Original Blends and Friends of RedBubble

  • We wear masks in order to hide ourselves, our real, flawed and wounded, selves. We try to disguise our issues, to wrap them up with pretty bows and attempt to pass ourselves off to the world as “ok”. But, I’m not ok, you’re not ok! We have all suffered wounds, and some of us don’t handle it as well as others of us do. And, the masks that we wear are not always sufficient enough to hide the tears and, in the end, become just as tearstained as our hearts have always been. All my own photos and textures used. These are my eyes…my tears…my pain. The Wound – by Marillion I’ve done everything that can be done to heal this wound / Left it on it’s own for years I’ve done everything that can be done to heal this wound / Left it on it’s own for years / Couldn’t touch it, didn’t pick it, didn’t get it wet / It didn’t stop the bleeding I bandaged it, I wrapped it, stitched it, tourniqueted it / I held it stiff and aching in the air / Held it there til I went beserk / Didn’t sleep / It didn’t work / Didn’t stop it weeping And the wound is your life / And your life took on a life of it’s own / (Or so you foolishly thought) / And your life rolled on over me Bang-Bang like 56 train wheels / Every time I heard news of you And the wound was in every lousy song on the radio And the pain was like a tree-fern in the dark, damp, forgotten places / Darkness didn’t stop her growing / New-born baby cells dividing.. / Curled up tight unrolling day by day / Stretching up, stretching out / Forming the same identical shape / Clones. There aint too much sadder than / Clones – relentlessly emerging from the hairy heart of the wound And the fern is beautiful in it’s own way / Uncurling in the dark / Beautiful with no one there to see it / As the wound weeps and aches FEATURED in Fantasy Fine Art Composites, Self As Other, Core [C.O.R.E], Music Inspired Art, and Pathway to the Soul
