  • A mashup i created from photographs i took of the Brooklyn Museum.

  • A mish-mash/collage of photos taken of the old heritage homes that were Tonks Ave & Kensington St (Wellington central). Both have now been totally transformed into the new Wellington “by-pass”. These heritage homes (some of the first built in Welly) have been relocated within meters of their original sites and to be fully restored. So far have been “done up” on the outsides (so they look good in passing!) but if you look in the windows they are gutted skeletons awaiting reconstruction. I wonder how long it will take… / Watch my portfolio for upcoming photos of these old homes if you are interested.

  • A Mash-up of a bunch of my images discovered when laying out pages for an artists book i was making. Thought it looked cool. Nothing more!

  • The first step in brewing is mashing, this is where you soak malted grain in hot water for a set period of time. You then gently run off the sugary water; and being careful not to break up the grain bed, spray the mash with hot water to extract enough sugary liquid for the next step of the brewing process. See also / Not as photogenic as Richard Veal’s Vats but this is the DIY end of the spectrum!

  • A tribute to a legend of war time surgury. Captain Benjamin Pierce. Hawkeye.

  • This is a collaboration with Jiba (http://www.redbubble.com/people/jiba ) I used his images from Splore 08 to make this “Mash Up”. I entered it into the Splore Photo competition and got Runner up in the “Ph-Art” section, was pretty stoked as it was the first contest i had entered. Its really cool seeing your work up like that!!

  • This is the top of the mash pots at this magical place. One of my favourite explores, an abandoned distillery in the North of Scotland. Being in a derelict taking pictures at the place where Whisky is born is just something else.

  • As the sign says, this is the top of one of the mashing machines at this abandoned distillery. This thing has seen somewhat of a chequered life, this particular distillery spending more time closed than it ever did open, continually being mothballed throughout its life.

  • This little guy is textured with paste up graffiti from a wall in the back lanes of Melbourne, Aus.

  • Roll up, roll up! Getcha very British T-Shirts designed to celebrate the very British club night; PiE&MASH. Head down to Vauxhall, London me old mucka, for a great night of Music, visuals, nonsense and of course PiE&MASH! www.pieandmashlondon.co.uk I would also like to point out that the organisers of PiE&MASH have been very kind and requested no part of the profits from these Tees.

  • Entry for the Weird Science challenge. Though this was a 24-hour challenge, it ended up being a lunch-hour challenge for me. Kangaroo Engine

  • Monsters. Mashing. What? I don’t know either.

  • In 1962, a song titled “The Monster Mash” was released. It was recorded by “Bobby “Boris” Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers”. I think some of you will remember it. It was a fun song. Since Halloween is next month, I thought it would be appropriate to share some monsters and ghouls with you. They did the mash, They did the monster mash / The monster mash, It was a graveyard smash / They did the mash, It caught on in a flash / They did the mash, They did the monster mash The image was created from several layered photos along with some added texture, filters and lighting.
