I painted this in photoshop. I was planning to make it lifelike, but in playing with my layers I turned off her skin tone, and discovered I liked it better like this. Just for fun piece, hope you enjoy. :)

The humour, the comic element in Martin Langer’s photography is seldom staged, he is a close observer of every day life with enormous patience when waiting for the decisive moment. And if it is staged, for instance when portraying toy figures, it is with an almost childish, playful joy that Langer finds in the inanimate object a human gesture, an instinctive humour that leaves the observer smiling. „My pictures“, he says, „don’t claim truthfulness. They reflect a situation. They want to entertain. They are snapshots, documenting humourous situations, throwing a twinkeling glance at every day life.“
