Acrylic on box canvas 120cm x 40cm I was trying to get the feel of drifting through a green field of high plants but with a feeling of detatched reality. The plants are high enough that you cannot see the horizon or any landmark – only the sky – yet there is a sense of peace in that isolation.

Acrylic on Plywood 42cm x 59cm I created this specifically for the Gaia the Living Planet group. / It incoroprates various ideas and images that I have worked on in the past and for reference I utilised an old image made by myself using photoshop and a picture of my then pregnant wife. / I have tried to get a dreamlike quality to the painting.

Wind Farm. This is my answer to environmentally friendly energy resources! / I do take the whole environmental thing seriously and have since I was a small child, way before it became a trendy topic full of buzz words. / Still it’s important to have a sense of humor. I wouldn’t see the point of living without one! / So laugh and take the world seriously!

Acrylic on box canvas 120cm x 40cm approx. This work is available for sale at 120 pounds sterling – bubblemail me. This was made in the same way as Abstract. A textured base layer was created initially and built on with layers of translucent acrylic inks. / This is one of my favourite pieces. I feel that I have captured the mood I wanted, that love hate relationship I have with cities, the way they draw me in but still seem so impersonal.

This is a traditional greeting in Nottingham UK. It basically means ‘Hello Friend’.

Acrylic on canvas. 130cm x 100cm approx. This is a dark painting and the largest abstract I have done to date. The bright red splashes represent the blood spilt in war and also the Poppies that grow on the battle field once the conflict is over. It is a violent piece and I hope that I have conveyed the horror and confusion and the noise of battle. This is definitely not a work that glorifies warfare but runs screaming from it.

Acrylic on canvas. 80cm x 100cm Approx. This work is available for sale at 180 pounds sterling – bubblemail me. I have tried to represent that feeling when you go out from the safety of your home and you are not feeling on top of the world. Everybody seems aggressive. They are talking about you, even though they don’t know you. The world seems hateful. I think the childlike style of the painting enhances the feeling of vulnerability even us adults can experience from time to time.

This painting was done a few years ago and has been hidden in a Folio case until now. It was constructed with foamcore board and acrylic texture pastes before getting the usual acrylic colouring. The blue ‘pools’ were built up using many layers of matt medium and paint to get the translucency I was after. / The ‘pools’ are actually depressions in the foamcore board and the ‘pebbles’ are raised surfaces so the ‘canvas’ is actually about 15mm deep, which is a little difficult to convey in a photo!

Acrylic on canvas. 51cm x 77cm Approx. I tried to keep this one simple. / The background is indistinct, there is an air of stillness. The first snow has started to fall…..

Sorry folks I accidentally deleted this so this is the second time I’ve put this on the Bubble! Acrylic on box canvas. 40cm x 50cm approx. This work is available for sale at 95 pounds sterling – bubblemail me. This picture was inspired by a small waterfall called Mallion spout in Yorkshire England near Goathland where Heartbeat is filmed. / I tried to capture the greeness of the fall and the mist. / I find that places with water, rocks and woodland inspire and relax me and this is what I try to convey here.

It is a take on an old Benetton ad campaign. I am trying to convey a serious message by using humour – we are all the same under our skin!!!!!

I realised a while ago that Eddie can’t spell Yew’re should be Ewe’re and Bahhed should be Baahed, still, I thought it was funny anyway!
