This is one of my husband’s guns from his collection. It is model1893, 1901 Marlin 3855, with original shells. Enough numbers in the description!
This is one of three paintings that were done together. My concept for it was a good idea but didn’t play out the way I’d hoped. So Marlin is here alone on his stool. Being a typical feline, he not only loves to watch and get in my way, but he loves to help. He was instrumental in helping with the color palette, but a bit critical about the fact that one of his eyes was a little off.

This is my boat the FORTUNA anchored in Avalon Harbor after catching two local marlin. The day was brilliant! The sun was dissolving most details with just burst of pure color and sea life everywhere. It was quite a celebration!
