  • A bustling, VERY early morning market (cho) not far from Ben Tre, in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. Because of the heat and lack of refrigeration, locals must buy everything fresh. The sights, sounds … and smells of this market were fabulous!

  • See more of my India Series here This stall was in the centre of a Hindu temple in Southern India, in a city called Madurai. He was selling all sorts of pictures and statues of Hindu gods. The locals will put these statues in their houses and create a shrine around them to worship. They burn incense and offer sacrifices to them for good luck. / The richness of colour in the stall was almost blinding to the eye…. Part of a series with:

  • Srinigar, Kasmir, India, while I was taking shots around the markets this men sort of followed me, he was a bit shy,..my husband said to me ,do you know this men is following us.I had not really noticed ,( I’m always shooting shots..)so I turned around and looked at this men and he said to me “I like you’..Oh I said “I like you too.. he was so lovely…

  • I was a bit hesitant about doing it in HDR as opposed to black and white, but I think it came out ok, and the colours of the vegetables had me hooked! Fish markets again near the airport.

Today, many vendors still set out in their boats to sell their wares. Lately a little commercialised, it is still an interesting place to visit.
