Art by Angelique Price (“Self Acceptance” by Angelique Price and her 7 year old son, Josiathe Price)
16 inches by 16 inches. / Sharpie marker on white illustration board. The design for this piece was taken directly from a jack of hearts playing card, which, in turn, was from a deck of jumbo index playing cards made by bicycle. And, I am aware that the titular daggers are in fact axes in this drawing, but I wanted to stay as true to the imagery and patterns used on the card as possible, while re-arranging the iconography to suit my needs.

This is my answer, for now, to Elvis Costello This is also a scan of an original drawing, by me. I shall probably use it, later on, to color in, paint on, manipulate, etc. for the sake of having fun with and creation of new pieces as a result.
This is a detail of a larger piece. It is simply Prismacolor pencils on black mat board.
Another version of a tree, done with Copic Art Markers and a micron pigma .01 pen. Any proceeds from the sales of my work here, will be instantly donated to The Philadelphia Mission. I will put a link here as soon as I figure out how to do it. http://www.philadelphia33.org/.
I created this with copic art markers and a .005 micron pigma pen. I wrote this poem to go with this drawing: “Garden Dance” As the morning sun rises to a brand new day / My garden flowers unfurl themselves, and then begin to play / Stretching their petals upwards, reaching to the warming sun, / My flowers bow with elegance, and playful, joyous fun. All creation laughs with joy, at this wondrous circumstance, / At the thought of beautiful flowers, that love to laugh, and dance. / As I watch my beautiful flowers, there’s a lesson I’d like to share. / It’s how these flowers gloriously exist, seemingly without a care. They bloom where they are planted, / And they die when it is time. / They don’t fret, nor do they worry, / Yet, how beautiful they shine. So, if you find you’re sad and struggling / With the cares of the world, this day, / Take a lesson from my flowers / And let your cares fall, and melt away. catherine howell / 12 2008 I created several products on zazzle with this design. Tattoo design I did.
This sketch is current. Not a success, but a fun exercise. I wanted to illustrate the top of a guys head bursting and my doodles flowing out of it. My doodles typically represent the overload of flux that streams in our conciseness or something like that… Sam Dantone
This marker is in Ellsworth Park in Danville, Illinois. Most people have heard of the Trail of Tears but few have heard of the Trail of Death. I was born and raised in Indiana and don’t recall anything about it in our history books, though it’s a big part of Indiana history, as the tribe was originally uprooted from an Indiana town and made to travel on foot across three States in winter. An ugly part, though, so perhaps that’s why it was downplayed? I don’t know. Interestingly, our recent paranormal investigations are what led me to study the history of the Potawatomi Nation and uncover a lot of things many people weren’t aware of. The research continues…

There is a dancer down at the Cosmic Dance Studio. She has fallen and can not get up. No helping hand can get her back on her feet. The full length mirrors reflect, what once was and what is to come. Her will to dance again must come from within. Will it…? Life is the Cosmic Dance. Sam Dantone Ball point pen on light gray illustration board. 7” x 11.5”
It’s a Boa, but it ain’t feathers. Just pop it off and get it over with, I can’t breathe… Sam Dantone
This is my last installment of this series. I wish I had more to add because I am no less busy and have no new work to show. I am happy to be busy at my sign shop, but I miss bubbling as much as I would like to. I’ll have to see what I can dig up… A sketchbook drawing from 1992 or 1993. Ball point pen on paper. 6” x 9” This is part of a series of old sketchbook drawings. Please have a read of my journal entry Time Capsule which explains this series. Sam Dantone
This is another ink drawing on paper of a series of manga inspired characters. It is an idea which started as a doodle and continued until the end. I liked the result and I hope others too.
Drawn on 11×15 (27.9×38.1 cm)Strathmore Cold Pressed Watorcolor paper. I used markers and a gel pen.
