  • Did this one a while quite a while ago. Back when I was in my early twenties… (Oh crap I’m getting old.) Who are the monsters? Why are they swimming on a faraway planet with a pot bellied little boy? Why did I feel the need to use so much marker on this piece? I don’t have the answers to any of that…sorry. Deal with it.

  • I do a fair amount of work like this. I call it doodles, but it is something more concentrated than the typical phone scribble. Some pieces contain something recognizable, some are pure abstraction. Other than planning out the face, the fill in all freely flows from the fingers via a ball point pen. Sam Dantone

  • I created this drawing with art markers and a micron .01 black pen. The paper is Stonehenge 100% Cotton, Vellum finish, 250 GSM, neutral ph/acid free paper. It is 8×8 inches. I absolutely LOVE this paper and plan to buy more in different sizes. It beats ANY Strathmore Bristol Papers, Hands Down! Any monies made from the sale of this art will be donated to The Philadelphia Mission. http://www.philadelphia33.org/

  • I just want some alcohol and anonymity… I just want to be loved… I just want it to be closing time… I just want it to never be closing time… I just want to make this shot… Sam Dantone P.S. This piece is 100% #2 pencil. ... and just for the record, this and many of my pieces, like this, are purely from my head. I rarely use reference to get my images. I like to test myself and see how much detail I can get out of my memory and imagination…

  • / / Framed Print Sweet Rosie / made from paper, pencils, charcoal, marker pen and stuff like that :) Here is a new one from my “Connections” series, all done with lots of dry media. This one is about the connection we have with our loved ones, roses always speak volumes about beauty, love, romance…......and wanting to connect…...what happens we we give and receive roses, why do we give and receive them…..it’s really sentimental stuff…..ahh where would we be without all that roses say for us, through us, about us, to others :) I hope you like my “Sweet Rosie”.....these roses are for you :)

  • You’ll never be able to eat an apple again… Photos taken with Canon 450D, cba to give you individual details of each shot, I used program mode anyway… Self portrait. It was good fun. Feedback? Featured in: / Strictly Human Faces / Young Enthusiasts

  • Butterflies, insects, flowers and hummingbirds inhabit this whimsical garden. Mixed media on green watercolor paper: colored pencils, sharpie pen, markers, metallic paint pens, oil pastels. • This started off as a sketch for my Wonderland artwork series (it was going to be Alice and the Caterpillar- but the caterpillar gradually morphed into this dragon and I felt like doing a primarily pen-and-ink work this time around. So Alice was put on the backburner for a little bit and instead we have a little girl and her dragon friend set against a silver sky with a blue moon. One only knows what they could be talking about….. Original artwork measures 12.5×19 inches approx. and is for sale (email redeye@designbyredeye.com to inquire). Medium is primarily pen and ink, with some silver sharpie and blue marker in the background. On sky blue Canson Mi-Tientes acid-free art paper. View more of my artwork at lynnetteshelley.com
