/ Framed Print Sweet Rosie / made from paper, pencils, charcoal, marker pen and stuff like that :) Here is a new one from my “Connections” series, all done with lots of dry media. This one is about the connection we have with our loved ones, roses always speak volumes about beauty, love, romance…......and wanting to connect…...what happens we we give and receive roses, why do we give and receive them…..it’s really sentimental stuff…..ahh where would we be without all that roses say for us, through us, about us, to others :) I hope you like my “Sweet Rosie”.....these roses are for you :)
You’ll never be able to eat an apple again… Photos taken with Canon 450D, cba to give you individual details of each shot, I used program mode anyway… Self portrait. It was good fun. Feedback? Featured in: / Strictly Human Faces / Young Enthusiasts
I created this drawing with art markers and a micron .01 black pen. The paper is Stonehenge 100% Cotton, Vellum finish, 250 GSM, neutral ph/acid free paper. It is 8×8 inches. I absolutely LOVE this paper and plan to buy more in different sizes. It beats ANY Strathmore Bristol Papers, Hands Down! Any monies made from the sale of this art will be donated to The Philadelphia Mission. http://www.philadelphia33.org/
Did this one a while quite a while ago. Back when I was in my early twenties… (Oh crap I’m getting old.) Who are the monsters? Why are they swimming on a faraway planet with a pot bellied little boy? Why did I feel the need to use so much marker on this piece? I don’t have the answers to any of that…sorry. Deal with it.
1 sale of this tee so far! thx so much to the person who purchased this one recently ;) created with ink and marker pen on foam core

I just want some alcohol and anonymity… I just want to be loved… I just want it to be closing time… I just want it to never be closing time… I just want to make this shot… Sam Dantone P.S. This piece is 100% #2 pencil. ... and just for the record, this and many of my pieces, like this, are purely from my head. I rarely use reference to get my images. I like to test myself and see how much detail I can get out of my memory and imagination…

Some Claim that Sweeney Todd was a real person, others call his story an urban legend. He was the demon barber who murdered his wealthy customers by slitting their throats while in his barber revolving chair, that makes them fall into the basement with their necks or skulls broken. Mrs. Lovett, his partner in crime bakes the victims’ flesh into meat pies and sells them to other unsuspecting customers. / Sweeney Todd first appeared in a story entitled The String of Pearls, published in eighteen weekly parts, in Edward Lloyd’s The People’s Periodical and Family Library, issues 7-24, 21 November 1846 to 20 March 1847. In Stephen Sondheim’s 1979 stage musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, based on the 1973 play of the same name by Christopher Bond, Todd is reinvented as a tragic character driven by revenge rather than greed and whose real name is Benjamin Barker. Highly recommended the 1936 film version of the Victorian melodrama starring Tod Slaughter as Sweeney Todd and Stella Rho as Mrs. “Lovatt” and also the 1979 acclaimed musical adaptation of Bond’s play by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler starring George Hearn as Sweeney Todd/Benjamin Barker and Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett. / And of course there is the Burton version! / Inks, Pencils & Markers / ZOMBIE

I did this illustration in college for a children’s book I had written. Honestly, I don’t even remember the name of it. (I know, that’s bad of me…bad Steve, BAD!) I don’t remember it being all that good of a story anyway. Had something to do with a kid making a rocket ship, then going to space and having crazy adventures with space monsters. (Not exactly crazy-original).
This is the second piece in the Seasons series and another aspects of Mother Nature. It caries the Divine Energy of the Mother Earth as she rests and waits. Just like ‘Autumn’, It is a 7×5 in. chalk pastel, ink and pencil piece on 100 lb. cover stock paper. FEATURED in the Woman Appreciation Group – March ‘09

I just never know where my pen will take me next. This is a depiction of that place between sleep and consciousness when you POP awake in the middle of the night. The mind can go anywhere while the fog lifts and the eyes adjust to the dark. What monsters are under your bed? Sam Dantone
