  Ok, this really shocks me! I have, on a couple of occasions, had my work featured in different groups and it is always such a wonderful thing and makes me very proud (I have to call and tell my Mom right away) and honoured. Today though, today I found out Freedom has been featured in the Masterpieces: Literature Group! I don’t write very often and usually when I do it is more of an outlet for myself than anything else, and nothing I would share. There are odd times; however, when I do write something that I think is special and I am willing to share with others and “Freedom” was one of these pieces. I am so very very pleased and proud that the moderators in the Masterpieces: Literature Group have thought enough of my work to feature it. Pinch me because I must be dreaming! Thanks so much everyone for your support and for reading about all of those little things that make us happy day to day on RB! You are the best!!! Darlene

First I was featured in the Sunrise, Sunset Group and then just a minute ago I’m scrolling through my groups and there is my I Love You as the Avatar for the Passions group! I am blown away!!!!   I got a letter in the mail today informing me that one of my artworks has been selected as a finalist in the ANL Maritime Art Prize. The prize is $15,000, which would be amazingly helpful for my practice if I could get my hands on it but I just love getting my work hung in an exhibition and perhaps selling it. Yay though!

  This is unbelievable, I have been featured in groups for the third time in a week! My Sunset At Halls Harbour....

  This is unbelievable, I have been featured in groups for the third time in a week! My Sunset At Halls Harbour has been featured in the Sunrise Sunset Group. I have to tell you that I truly consider this an honour! There are so many AMAZING pieces of work in that group that they could have chosen to use. What I love even more about this, is this shot was taken a couple years before I really started getting involved with photography. I was using a Kodak Easyshare camera at the time but it still turned out so beautifully, and it has never been altered in any way.
