Vittoriosa, Malta. The Marina. Summer has slowly faded away making way for Autumn. The summertime activity is over and the boats lie at rest safely in their moorings, but neither forgotten nor neglected. The high clouds shield the Sun and gently informs us of the coming of winter. The milder weather is welcomed by many. The Summer heat will soon be forgotten but missed by those who live by and for it. 4 copies of a single hand-held image taken with an Olympus evolt E-330. Processed at 1/3 EV stops and merged together with the original in Photomatix Pro 3.

This was taken in Key West off the marina watching the sunset. It was just gorgeous with boats in the water and cameras clicking away. It’s a great place for taking pictures of quaint buildings and cruise ships docked for the day. oil on canvas / 80cm x 90cm / I have just come from the BAA awards night, and while I didn’t receive an award (even though I wore my lucky eiffel tower earrings!), this painting did seem to generate a lot of interest from the viewing public…there was at one stage, two men standing in front of it, pointing to this and that in the painting, a bit of wild gesticulation…my husband sidled over to eavesdrop…all positive. there was certainly someone in front of it at every point in the evening! / / /
