The summertime activity is over and the boats lie at rest safely in their moorings, but neither forgotten nor neglected. The high clouds shield the Sun and gently informs us of the coming of winter. The milder weather is welcomed by many. The Summer heat will soon be forgotten but missed by those who live by and for it. 4 copies of a single hand-held image taken with an Olympus evolt E-330. Processed at 1/3 EV stops and merged together with the original in Photomatix Pro 3.

I went to the marina hoping for a sunset but this is what i got instead. / I won the 2007 annual camera club show with this image.

Taken on the Lake of Two Mountains, Quebec in the village of Oka on Monday June 9/08. This is just past the public docks and ferry system looking towards the west at the marina. The sun was starting to descend and cast a rosy glow on the water. Featured in the My Neighborhood group February 1st 2009 / Featured in Stillness Speaks group.
