During a severe storm in Santa Maria, California, USA. Twin downstrokes and one of the last shots I took that evening. I was ecstatic to see this shot come off of my camera. This photograph has put me on the map and is one of my best sellers. This was taken with a 30 second exposure set to f/22 at 24mm. There is a t-shirt available also under “clothing”.

Agathe had arthritis all over her poor body ,she couldn’t stand it .Sometimes she was just raging of pain .She passed away the 14 of april .I wasn’t there to say goodbye but I’m sure she knows her hands will finaly be on R.B.I asked her for some shots of her twisted fingers and she agreeded with such pleasure ,she asked me several times when I was going to do it .I went to see her just in time a week ago.She was so weak that she couldn’t hold to little butterfly.I felt so sad but at the same time I was happy that she used the rest of her strenth to do that shot she wanted so much.She was always on oxygene and stayed still all day long the last few weeks.I ‘m sure she’s not suffering anymore .By! It’s all around us and I believe that each person has their own defined energy. Some try to overpower others by bringing them down by taking their energy away. It happens don’t you think? What do you think happens with people and energy. Is it a cycle? Can it be broken? Taken from you? Can you create new energy and change things that happen inyour life? Energy truly intrests me. I try hard not to get pulled into bad energy. It’s hard though. There is so much to talk about when it comes to each persons energy in the world. In this piece, I believe energy to be a pure and beautiful thing when its first created. I believe in a relaxing, happy and positive energy. As for what happens to it after is all up to the beholder! I’ve had a weekend of experimenting with this theme and this is my fave of the ones I did. This is encaustic wax. Background was done on the hotplate with a roller, then the rocks were put in with the iron while it was still on the hotplate (quite like working hot-on-hot) and the rest was done off th hotplate with the stylus and micro-tip.
