The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion in (Georgetown, Penang) malaysia the Winner of the UNESCO Conservation Award 2000 National Architecture Award for Conservation 1995. / Also called the blue Mansion. Was the main location for the film ‘Indochine’ featuring Catherine Deneuve. / The Mansion is now also opened as a boutique hotel (where I stayed..). Photo featured in ‘SilverKris’ a Singapore Airline Magazine in Nov 2008 Issue

It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. Inspired by the song The Days Of Pearly Spencer which was based on the story of a homeless man in Ballymena who was befriended by David McWilliams. The song reflected the writer’s deep humanity and his empathy with those who live on the margins of society. / Source Many thanks to Gregoryno6 who reminded me of this song last year, it’s been whirling around in my head since then. I’m working on my laptop since my other puter is in the shop again, so I’m a bit stuck for subject matter at the mo….Here’s the other spooky house with a few additions, and different processing….someone wanted the birds :) Here it is in colour. I hate my macbook telling me I’ve spelt COLOUR incorrectly…grrr
