  • Two hands, one purpose?
    by Siah Fade

The friend took a breathe before realizing what happened. She looked us both in the eyes and told us she was fine. What she said next ast…

I decided to write this piece as more of a short story. Here lies my experiences involving healing abilities and auras. Don’t take this the wrong way, I wrote this to the best of my recollection, but in a way that would seem more appealing to those who find it easy to get caught up in a book. These are not lessons, recommendations, or advice of any kind. Be careful of what you get involved with, try to stay knowledgable and have someone more experienced supervise whatever you do. This is for your safety and the well being of those around you. Hope you enjoy it :)

  • A love for heavenly beauty does not preclude / A proper love for earthly pulchritude; / Our senses are quite rightly captivated / By perfect works our Maker has created. / Some glory clings to all that heaven has made; / In you, all Heaven’s marvels are displayed. / On that fair face, such beauties have been lavished, / The eyes are dazzled and the heart is ravished; / How could I look on you, O flawless creature, / And not adore the Author of all Nature, / Feeling a love both passionate and pure, / For you, his triumph of self-portraiture? / At first, I trembled lest that love should be / A subtle snare that Hell has laid for me; / I woved to flee the sight of you, eschewing / A rapture that might prove my soul’s undoing; / But soon, fair being, I became aware / That my deep passion could be made to square / With rectitude, and with my bounden duty / I thereupon surrender to your beauty. / It is, I know, presumptuous on my part / To bring you this poor offering of my heart, / And it is not my merit, Heaven knows, / But your compassion on which my hopes repose. / You are my peace, my solace, my salvation; / On you depends my bliss or desolation; / I bide your judgement and, as you think best, / I shall be miserable or blest. - Moliere[ Jean Baptiste Poquelin ]

  • Say Ahhhhhhh! / This was created using a real photograph. I first layered over top of the image with sharpie repeatedly, making sure to have one layer at least before I began working with the medium. I discovered quickly that Sharpie can be manipulated with an X-Acto knife and a little scratching, and voila! Scary self-portrait emerges! / 3”x5” Photograph.

  • Image three in this series. My idea is to have bodies hanging up as if they were suits we could just put on, changing part of our daily appearance. Incase it isn’t too obvious this is a dry cleaners bag….... Merged from four photos. 1 x sb600 camera right / 1x sb600 camera back left in window

  • A photo manipulation of some running water in my back garden.

  • Several digital images sandwiched together. / This one was a darker work.

  • Abstract look of a tube station.

  • I saw a photoshop tutorial on the internet about how to create a fireball in photoshop and wanted to try it out. I photographed my hands using a tripod and self-timer (Which believe me isn’t very easy:)) then created this in photoshop before adding the border. Let me know what you think to it.

  • Trying to imitate nature with a watercolour -like effectnis something I strive for often when creating in Apophysis.
