Originally a photo from my recent trip overseas but this has gone further then my usual photography and is more of an artwork. I really like what I’ve achieved and its thanks to the Redbubble community encouraging me to try new styles and be adventurous. June 26th How excited I am! Tomorrow is my birthday, and my sisters have told me that Papa will be arriving first thing, and that he has a very special treat in store for me. Naturally since learning of this, I have been at pains to discover what awaits me. Yet to my utter dismay, when I try to interrogate my sisters , they will only say that they are sworn to secrecy, then glance at one another and burst into infuriating giggles. I feel that if I am to succeed in my endeavour to extract the necessary information before morning, I must first get to each of them separately, then use all the cunning and ingenuity inherited from my beloved father. What springs immediately to mind, is to adopt the guile of one of Nature’s predators and pursue the weaker of the pack. Knowing as I do of Audrey’s great fondness for fruit bonbons, I shall arm myself with said items, and make my way to her bedchamber this very evening. Let us see how long her lips remain sealed when such delightful confection is offered in exchange for her secrets!

Dedicated to my father who passed away 9/15/08. Ephemeral: Lasting only one day. Lasting a very short time. I created this using various old images I had laying around and played with it in Photoshop. I almost feel like I should have a poem written for this piece, but alas, i am not a writer! On 16/12/09 This image has had 935 views and 239 comments I have created this for the Winter Whimsy Challenge which is in the enchanting Animal Fantasy and Whimsy Group. The challenge called for a creative portrayal of animals in the winter. I have so enjoyed creating this one. Whenever I make composites of animals it always makes me smile and feel incredibly happy. I chose the polar bears because I thought it would be fun to try and develop an image using largely white as the dominant colour (and I also thought that we would be seeing a great many reindeers in the coming month!) The High Priestess – the third in the Tarot series, showing another aspect of the female psyche. When I was creating this, the song going through my head all the time, was the last verse of the beautiful Leonard Cohen song – Suzanne. It is so apt, it could have been written with the High Priestess in mind. Now Suzanne takes your hand / And she leads you to the river / She is wearing rags and feathers / From Salvation Army counters / And the sun pours down like honey / On our lady of the harbour / And she shows you where to look / Among the garbage and the flowers / There are heroes in the seaweed / There are children in the morning / They are leaning out for love / And they will lean that way forever / While Suzanne holds the mirror / And you want to travel with her / And you want to travel blind / And you know that you can trust her / For she’s touched your perfect body with her mind. The High Priestess is enigmatic, sensual and insightful. She is the opposite of the Magician in every possible way. She is still, quiet and contemplative. She will take you to unknown places within you. She will show you things about your inner-self that even you do not know. She will take you to places of hidden delight. / She will help you on the road to self-discovery and self-enlightenment. She is an enigma though. You will never quite feel that has taught you everything, and all you want to do is remain with her and carry on the voyage of self-discovery. Finally, you have to leave, but as you do, she promises that she will meet you again when you are truly ready. / ………………………………………………………… / I created this in Photoshop CS4. Three images were blended together to create the background, and then the High Priestess, chalices, honey and candles added. The fabulous model came from mizzd-stock / I loved the enigmatic smile on her face. She was just perfect for the High Priestess.
