This calender consists of a series of ongoing portraits created through the process of stepping out of my own way and allowing collected imagery symbols mixed media and intuition to BECOME! Once upon a time…... I planned my art by doing a sketch or having an idea….at least a place to start. And once upon a time I realized there was more that needed expressing than my underused brain could imagine….and I have a GOOD imagination. This intuitive way of working was a necessary step in my own evolution as artist and being….to relinquish control….to learn to listen to my inner guide or higher self. I came to find during this exercise that ‘what I was asked to put on canvas’ seemed to make no sense at all …...just strange little pieces from nowhere…or so I thought yet as I was living my life I realized that it made no sense either. I concluded that this no sense or nonsense I was creating through my judgment actually reflects the innate sense we come from and all have,,,,THE BIG SENSE….....a sense beyond …....and so I trust this way of working more than I trust my way of working! LOL Enjoy IN JOY in whatever sense you can.

mixed media work created on 03-03-03 …..newsprint…tracing paper….sheet music…etc. and acrylic paint. this piece was painted for a show….the BIG ART MAUI event. it didn’t make the show and so….. i get to enjoy her! awakening to the reality that we all are subject to be caught….hooked…pulled in by something we are not awake to OUR LESSON. we also wear hooks….to see or not to see…............ the original is still available. 3500- (resizing to 300 dpi) she was so small before she only made cards and small prints. did anyone notice? i didn’t.

I spontaneously painted this using oils after an intense Kundalini Yoga session. I felt the need to express/release how my inner body was feeling at the time. I digitally tweaked it to finish.

These are a series of cityscapes captured in Liverpool,England. I am a fan of the I Ching and its timeless concepts which continue to reverberate in today’s world and I have applied part of its text to these images.

Inspired by the religious art of my visit to Italy in December 2007, i was compelled to create the depiction of the spiritual battle that is happening in our world… every second of every day. Someone is in a battle manifested in countless forms. But there is life and with life there is always hope. ‘The Battle’ is symbolic of the journey and the challenges faced to reach freedom. After we have fought the good fight there will be victory and as we fall to our knees, we are drawn to the One… who has saved us. Take the messages as they come to you. The aim was to create a universal piece of art that speaks the language of the heart. This vector artwork is currently not for sale but if you are interested i’d love to hear from you.

pencil on paper drawing (image size 15 3/4” diameter circle) This is the story of two lives passing through each other – my dear niece and the mother she had for seven months. The original is currently in New York and comes out for exhibitions. It was last featured in the booth of Marion Harris Gallery at the Outsider Art Fair. While this is a circular image, the full size does not lend itself well to greeting cards. I will offer a cropped version that will.
