Another image taken out from one of the images I took in Paris, outside of the Notre Dame Cathedral, where some children were bird feeding. It reminds me of the “Strength of Life” (La Forza della Vita), an old Italian song by Paolo Vallesi. One of the most beautiful and strongest songs I’ve ever heard. / ___ The Strength of Life “Even when we give up / because of anger or violence / because of an inconsolable love / even when home is the most uninhabitable place / and you cry and don’t know what you want / Believe, there is a strength inside us / stronger than this useless and crazy world’s light / it is stronger than an incomprehensible death / and than this nostalgia that never leaves us When you touch bottom with your fingers / all of a sudden you will feel the strength of life / that will pull you along / love, you don’t know but / you will see that there is an exit Even when you feel pain / and in silence you hear your heart / as an unbearable sound / and you can’t stand up / and the world is unreachable / even when hope is not enough There’s this will that challenges death / it is our dignity, the strength of life / that never asks what eternity is / even when there is someone to offend it / or when someone sells you the “beyond” When you feel it pulling you by your fingers / you will recognize the strength of life / that will pull you along / don’t let go / don’t leave me without you Even inside the prisons of our hypocrisy / even in hospitals with this new disease / there is this strength to watch over us / and that you will recognize / it is the most persistent strength that we have / inside / that dreams and never gives up It is this will / the most fragile and infinite / our dignity / the strengtt of life My love it is this strength of life / that never wonders what eternity is / and that everyday fights next to us / and will never end When you feel it pulling you by your fingers / you will recognize the strength of life The strength is inside us / baby soon or later you will feel it / the strength of life / that will pull you along and whispers softly: / look how much life is still left”
