Pilgrim provides food, medicine and trauma counseling to refugees of Uganda’s decades-long civil war who live in refugee camps in the northeastern region of Uganda. In 2006 they started Beacon College to bring hope, healing and secondary education to refugee children. Beacon College provides education to 470 children ages 13-21. Before coming to the school, all the children lived in refugee camps lacking basic necessities. Many of the students are former abductees – girls having been put into rape camps and boys either used as “beasts of burden” or forced to be child soldiers. Most of these children are orphans. Your purchase will be thoroughly utilized toward the assistance of the above mentioned children, for which I can’t thank you enough. / / This tower dates from the XIVcentuary ! / It dominates the river Rance estuary and its height is 27 meters! / its name comes from the breton : “steir dor”which means : door of the river. / ITS A FORTRESS AND HOLDS THE MUSEUM OF THE :CAP HORNIERS / since 1970 / The tower is sitting on a rock and dominates the RANCE river. / The original foundations are roman, and composed of 3 towers, linked together! / From the revolution until 1811, it was known as a prison for the french soldiers and the british prisoners, and one can check it by looking at the graffitis inside. / Now it is a nice little museum and you can see retraced , the discovery of the CAP HORN! / And you will see represented , the everyday life in those great ships! / The first french man to have crossed the CAP HORN was : GROUIN DE BEAUCHENES, a man from st malo in 1698, who tried to establish relationships with Peru and Chili! / 20.000kms between st Malo and Callao § ONLY 2stops / the canaries island and cap vert !

This church is located near Allenspark, along the Peak to Peak Highway in Colorado, the one that goes between Black Hawk and Estes Park. Popular among photographers and other spectators. This was taken on my home from a retreat in Estes Park last October. The colors were so wonderful, so I had to stop and snap a few frames. I edited out the people that were around the church, in PSE 3. / Nikon D80, 18-135 mm lens / f/25, 1/50 sec, ISO 200, focal length 26 mm

The church is located in Allenspark Co about 12.5 miles from Estes Park Co. / Thank you Shiloh for taking me up there yesterday to get these shots!!!
