Taken before sunrise, while the storm clouds looked ominous, they were gone an hour later and it was a blue bird day. 5 mninute exposure.
Taken at Maroubra Beach where an image of the famous Afghan girl with the startling green eyes has been painted on the drainpipe with the words ‘refugees are not criminals’.
Malabar
Colorful digital painting by Alejandro Silveira.
©Seth F.Weaver,Sr. 03/23/08. A DigiMix™ work. This is a view of the planet Malabar far beyond our solar system. Far beyond our laws of physics and reality a molten world with an icy layered crusty surface where gems bloom at night. Teased and tempted by three moons. The largest of these is brighter than our sun. Many cosmic raiders try to steal the gems but all usually perish on the surface and in the atmosphere which is as toxic as the surface is unstable.

These two horses pulled wagons full of people to and from the top of the hill during the Maple Syrup Festival at Malabar State Park in Ohio.
Malabar State Park, Ohio. During the Maple Syrup Festival, I noticed the steam rising out of the roof of the Sugar Shack. Each year, the festival is held during the first and second weekends in March.

Stopping off at Malabar Beach – in those early days to relax on the beach in our new country, unaware of any sewerage outlets nearby.
Immigration, part of the making of modern Australia. I like the ABC website and have been uploading my anecdotes.
Stock / is dreamstime, and our own Michelle / sxc.hu / and my own personal photographs and textures this image has been digitally watermarked Made for my daughter, Catie – who shares this special song with her daddy. “Coast of Malabar” Far away across the ocean, underneath an Indian star / Dwells a dusky little (dark eyed lovely) maiden on the coast of Malabar / In the harbour, where we anchored, I can see her shy and sweet / With a bunch of wine-red roses and the wild waves at her feet Chorus: / Fare thee well, my little dark eyed queen fare thee well, my Indian star / In my heart you’ll live forever on the coast of Malabar Many a happy night I spent with her, ‘neath the palm trees green and tall / Many a happy night I danced with her down in yonder city hall / She would raise her misty little face and gaze across the bay / She would whisper “If you love me, why do you sail away?” Come to me, I hear her calling across the ocean wild and far / Come to me again and love me on the coast of Malabar / And my thoughts keep ever turning to that far-off distant shore / And to that dark eyed girl who loved me, but I’ll see her never more
Along the coast of Sydney many beaches have an ocean pool fashioned from the rock allowing for safe swimming by young and old. This one is at Malabar which is not know for its cleanliness being close to the sewerage works. Nonetheless, it is still a an attractive and peaceful part of Sydney. Photographed in October 2008 handheld. Minimal processing.
This beautiful Oriole resides in the aviary at one of my favorite places, Malabar Farm located in Lucas, Ohio. Malabar is the former home of Pulitzer prize winning author Louis Bromfield, and is also where Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart were married. This jaunty little chap had no fear, and literally perched about 3 feet away to munch on sunflower seeds.
