I was not sure how to approach this Snail Mail project, so I began by finding a 8”x8” card-stock and adding to it found objects. First, I tore to shreds an old card, and I glued the pieces around the border of the card-stock. Next, I located a nifty paper punch that cuts out bird shapes. I found some decorative paper then punched out a flock of birds to place on the blue page. I decided to add a little wooden stick , and embroidery thread to the little red lantern on the top left corner of the page. Then sprinkled itty bitty greenish-blue marbles to the page and finished it off with red paint and high gloss varnish. This was to be the first page. On the second page, I added a little business card and repeated the bird and lantern motif. From a magazine I cut letters to create a word phrase. And on the back of each page is a little hand written letter for readers to enjoy.

My mother in law collected stamps & kept them on their original envelopes which were passed down to us. They were all from the 1950’s thru to the 1970’s. / This is my first attempt at adding textures in Photoshop. / Camera – Nikon D90 Made it onto the ‘Popular Art & Photography’ :)) / FEATURED in ‘Passionate About Vintage’ Group
IMAGE FEATURED IN 1:1 MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY / ALSO FEATURED IN CREATURES THAT SLITHER & SLIDE I love these little guys. My daughter though loves them a lot more then anyone I know. Her fascination with nature is so beautifully innocent as she picks up every little critter and crawler for her bug house only to inspect it further. She fascinates me and this snail was done for her. Her eyes lit up like little gemstones when she saw this precious snail and called me the “bestest” photographer in the world – in her eyes anyways. ♥ Photo taken in our back yard, Bratford, Ontario, Canada. Thank you. Thank you for stopping by to take a peek.
Everyone had their favourite Star Wars character. For some it was Han Solo, other wanted to be a Jedi like Luke Skywalker, others just wanted Princess Leia. For Private Willie though, he only had eyes for Vader.
My Website It’s been a very long time since I received a real postcard and last night when I checked my mail at my PO Box, it was a total ‘wish I was there’ moment. As I stood under the street lamp reading real words from someone in RB who I hold very close to my heart, I felt so deliciously warm and happy inside. We live in such a cyber world and sometimes it’s just pure bliss to get back to reality with good old fashioned communication. On the other hand, if it wasn’t for RB I would never have met this gorgeous friend. / Thank you Billy straight from my heart / XOXOX / This is just my take on the whole thing, part postcard, part me :)
This image hit me like a bolt of lightning last week and I’ve worked to bring it to a reality. / She is drawn in coloured pencil and the skirt is made from a collection of postage stamps from around the world. / She stands 41 cm tall. / Close up: /

From the series: Letters From An Expedition: In Search of The Missing Muse. Journal entry No.02/02. The missing muse; I thought I saw her on the street today, crossing against the light. I turned to follow, but lost her in the throng. Other people on the street feel her presence, but are unsure of what has occurred. I want to ask, “Have you seen her?” but refrain; I know what they will think. They stare at the spot where her presence was felt and I move on. I traced the direction that she must have taken, but never caught up to her. I walked straight for minutes or hours and didn’t give up until twilight darkened the faces of every passerby. It was late when I got back home and my family was asleep.
