  • Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.

  • FLIGHTS OF FANTASY This drawing has been sitting around since the 90’s / It started off as a T-shirt Design with the Roses- / I added the Unicorn later and felt it didnt really gel / together. / I dug it out recently and decided to darked the background / to pull the design together a bit and now I am a bit happier with / the result as an artwork, if not a Tee design (as I originally set out / to do) x / Edding Pen on Cartridge Paper

  • From a photograph of a real White Raven (aka “Spirit Raven” born in May 2008 on Vancouver Island with an identical sibling), this fantasy scene was born. “Keeper of Worlds” represents the powerful status of “Raven” in our various cultures and societies. He is a protector of home and worker of natural magic. If anyone was assigned to “manage” our Solar System, Raven would be up for the task, having proven himself in mythologies, stories and dreams. NB: Note the planet Earth in his beak. 25% from sales proceeds are donated to I.F.A.W. (The International Fund for Animal Welfare) as they rescue injured or trapped pets, livestock and wildlife during natural disasters and in war zones. / Thank you for helping me to help them! :o-) Check out our recently filmed Spirit Raven Youtube video*

  • / “The Two” is part of the Flower Collection...Watercolour on Sennelier Paper… You are the town and we are the clock. / We are the guardians of the gate in the rock / The Two / On your left and on your right / In the day and in the night, / We are watching you. We’re afraid in that case you’ll have a fall. / We’ve been watching you over the garden wall / For hours. / The sky is darkening like a stain / Something is going to fall like rain / And it won’t be flowers. This might happen any day / So be careful what you say / Or do. / Be clean, be tidy, oil the lock, / Trim the garden, wind the clock, / Remember the Two. W.H. Auden

  • pencil on paper (Arches) drawing – image size: 30” wide x 22” high (ORIGINAL SOLD) The title is a play on the word and the physicality of the drawing itself. If you turn this drawing on each side, and upside down, you will see the same face looking at you. (All ways) It also is a memorial – to commemorate some friends and family in my life who passed on but who I’ll remember and want noted for “always”. There are names in the trees and bark, and there is even a tiny little poem in the grass. Good luck finding it. I can only when looking at the original. It says: “The purpose of love and art are the same – to stop the clock.” (You can see the original framed drawing on the wall behind me at one of my solo shows a few years ago.) / AND, now available as a mug at Zazzle: / Always mug /

  • Mixed Media / The face was a photo, a portrait of the wonderful friend for her birtday… .I painted over it. I know it’s still a bit sketchy , I may refine it someday when I have free time though. Although I cannot reply individually to all of you now, your words really help me… Thank you :0) Available as a framed art print, canvas, mounted print and greeting card. / / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved. • The White Queen’s Bishop / Artist: rubyred / Biography: Danny Having an equal who is a fallen Angel can be hard on the status and having the ability to prove it without question takes some doing. The Queen’s Bishop is an extraordinary man who has complete faith in his abilities, his king and those that he has in charge. Dean and Principal of the King’s University he has built a school of unsurpassed knowledge that has given creation to the great flank engines of battle. Though mortal he has commissioned professors to find elixirs of longevity and never travels anywhere without his protective werehounds. /
