Another shot from an exposed tree due to the drought and low water level at the Hume Weir. Someone that viewed my image said that the swoosh of clouds and the tree reminded themof a magic wand.

watercolour, pencils and wax. I had a fight with Photoshop.
Probably the last of the Opera House shots I’m going to be uploading for a while. This was taken a few minutes after House of Golden Light and just a bit further on towards the Harbour Bridge. There are often lovely sailing boats and things moored down past the Customs House and sometimes you can just be lucky with the light and the framing. In another small while all the light will be drained from this sky and the night lights will come on giving the whole area a completely different look again.

This calendar contains photos of a series of roses that I called the Magical Roses. All roses are from the same beautiful breed (Barkarole) which is originally red but in every shot I applied a different color treatment. Single Prints:

/ It is the simple indulgences in life that set us apart…that make us human…just think of the hot cup of coffee or tea, and the warm, softly glazed cinnamon bun waiting on a pretty plate at tea time or any time for that matter….I have placed mine simply on a mat….cut into it…pass a generous slice of it to your partner…there is enough for both….savour the sweet cinnamony goodness as it yields to your knife…Aah ... Did you know that October the 4th is Cinnamon Bun day in Sweden?...great idea I think…. “*Cinnamon Bun” is the 5th painting in the “Delicious” Collection…Watercolour on Arches Paper.. Mixed media on canson paper All my life I’ve been told I’m away with the fairies! I really love being away with the fairies and consider this to be a great compliment! This painting just happened when I was away with the fairies! Magic happens! / /
Coloured pencil on canson paper. Inspired by my trip to Thailand! While backpacking through Thailand I spent a great deal of time on local busses! They really were magical! People carried a huge collection of local produce with them and sold all kinds of food and drink to fellow travellers while on the bus! Luckily I always had a sketch pad and coloured pencils with me!This is my impression of my many amazing magic bus trips! / / / featured in Outsiders!
Terry Southern is, without a doubt, one of my favorite writers of all time. If you don’t know who he is: now, you do Or, if you’re too lazy to click that link, here are just a few quick facts about the guy: - He’s the only guy sporting shades on the cover of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s album. / - He co-wrote Dr. Strangelove with Stanley Kubrick, and is largely responsible for shifting the tone of the film from stone sober cautionary tale to ludicrous cautionary tale. / -He once wrote a short story that culminated in the revelation of President Nixon’s sick addiction to rimming the amputated anuses of dead Viet Cong, shipped fresh to him daily from the DMZ. If that doesn’t tickle your funny bone, I don’t know what will. / -Along with William Burroughs, Jean Genet, and Allen Ginsberg, he experienced and documented first-hand the federally instigated massacre at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. This is another one of those one hour portraits I’ve been doing. Had this one sitting around for a while, and finally decided to upload it today. Hope you dig it. Oils on 8” x 10” canvas panel.
I never planned this motive, develloped it accidentially in Apophysis. / I liked it so much that I saved it at once…. / maybe you like it too? / It reminds me on a certain kind of amulett made out of feathers….shamans may use. ;-)
