/ / Embracing Light is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist Jaeda DeWalt’s The Invisible Light series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. About this image / For me, this self-portrait celebrates dark and light co-existing as illumination. Meister Eckhart once said, “the ground of the soul is dark.” Darkness itself, shines a truth, that light on its own, can never know. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Matted Prints, / Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in Jaeda’s Artography Book! / / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / You might also like . . . / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / /
I’ve been posting some of my more serious work just lately in the form of the Neverland Collection and its been a hectic journey with all sorts of responses….mostly good but also some that have been really testing and unpleasant….. so I thought I post a few lighter things just to break up the feel of my work somewhat. This digital image goes right back to when I first started to learn how to use Photoshop in 2004 and was one of the very first manipulated images I produced. Actually there is a series of them which I made into an animated gif that was really quite charming in a naive and pretty sort of way and this is a still from that work. / The background was shot at a friends place early one frosty morning and the girl is a stock image….
some one remarked to me recently that I don’t seem to do much work in colour…... hmmm …. could be something in that as I really do love the purity of black and white….. but I do really love a nice colour image as well. This is a fairly pedestrian shot of some building clouds out to sea not terrribly far away from where I live but the colour cast in the shot….. it’s been cross processed…. make this really special… well to an Australian way of seeing things anyhow as the green and gold are our sporting colours…... so here is a simple little seascape that honours all our wonderful sporting enthusiasts ….. and there are quite a few of them in this wide brown land….... enjoy…...:)
I took a trip to a local park early this morning, 05/31/08…......I managed to take about 75 shots and as I was leaving, I spotted these lovely little mushrooms popping up through the clover….......all kinds of visions started dancing in my head….this is one of those magical places to which I journeyed …............ / / / _ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. You sit by the fire / and before your eyes / the flame dancers rises / before your eyes / she moves she sways / you are mesmerized / hypnotic are her movements / you can not turn away / if you blink she will be gone / and never seen again / she is there always / within the flames / dancing spinning turning / but hardly ever seen.

“Could it be Magic?” ~ Xochimilco, Mexico ~ June 2008
~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * / In Memory of my sister, Kyelcie Dawn Yates , 100% of all proceeds from the sale of this piece, and all of my art on RedBubble, will be donated to my charity of choice – The Dream Factory. / * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Sometimes, a camera can capture that which the eye cannot see… I was up before the sun one morning and setting up my tripod in front of a huge water fountain that I was there to shoot that day (I wanted to capture the fountain with the sun rising in the background). As the day began to break, blinding beams of light started to shine through the trees onto the spot where I was setting up. I could barely see, but I turned the camera and snapped a few shots anyway. I didn’t realize until I got back home and uploaded the photos that my own personal red bubble had been with me the whole time… / If you like this image, you might also enjoy: Sunset Train Ride Lunar Lights Phantom Sunrise —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Please visit my GALLERY PAGE Thanks for looking! / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— /
Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery The Magic of a White Rose
An original photograph of the beautiful marble statue entitled, ‘The Elf,’ by Welsh sculptor William Goscombe John (1860 – 1952). This stunning work of art is on public display at The Botanic Gardens in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Europe. Cardiff-born John took his inspiration for this ethereal piece from the Celtic folklore of his homeland. The sculpture went on show at the Glasgow International Exhibition of 1901. With a nod to its magical properties, I have sprinkled the crouching elf’s skin with digital glitterdust.

Image photographed using a digital camera and remote-controlled shutter release. About this image / I was hesitant to post this image because it doesn’t have that pristine, whispering from the ethers appeal, that i like to create with my photography. But the more i looked at it, the more it grew on me and i began to embrace the flaws for the unique beauty they offer. My eyes look weird, like i am in a trance… it’s a very grainy image, not quite right… but strangely, that is what makes this image work for me. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Matted Prints, / Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / You might also like / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / / / View All Art » 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
