Don’t eat them… haha…. This is growing in my front yard, but I have no idea what kind of tree it is. It has pretty blossoms in the spring though. Enjoy!
This is a drawing I did on sketching paper about a year ago, 10×8 ”. I recently discovered it hiding away in a box and thought I would add some acrylic paints to bring it to life. Paints brought this drawing to life, but the earth gives life to all …. Mother Nature From nature we abound / emerging slowly from the ground / to live our lives as best we can / then once again returning to the land….. FEATURED IN FIRST THINGS

A loose watercolour painting with touches of acrylic on Arches paper. Imagine an evening stroll along a hidden trail as the sun is setting throwing its warm glow across the shady trees… I did and this is what I created. Nothing like a glorious night to motivate one for a walk! Evening Stroll The sky was alight to my delight / oh my look at those colours what a sight! / Let’s go for a stroll I said to my dog / the night is clear, no rain, no fog. The flowers were dancing their colours aglow / the tree branches swaying putting on a show / the night lit up we were bathed in light / Oh for sure this was a glorious night! Taking the core elements from my pencil drawings Cacophony / The Tall Grass / and The Calling / comes this RedBubble exclusive image. I was thinking about the mysterious ways of nature and the push and pull of magnetic forces.

Every month my garden changes color like magic. The perennials faithfully take their turn to display their beauty. My favorite month is August when many of my perennials are pink and white. Cosmos are in the foreground of this photo and in the background are allium, pink phlox, hibiscus, coneflowers and more. Taken 8/23/09 in my yard. GARDEN MAGIC /
An acrylic painting 29cm x 21cm on paper of the stunning Wentworth Falls Queen’s Cascades which is a 10 minute drive from our home. Waterfalls are a gift from nature to be enjoyed and this one is exceptionally beautiful. Water sparkles catching the light / like the glint of diamonds shining bright / cascading over the rock it pours / noisy, gushing… the movement roars Linda Featured in: / HAND DRAWN OR PAINTED ART OF HAPPINESS AND JOY / REALIST PAINTINGS ABOUT WATER / REALIST TRADITIONAL ART / WATER MEDIA PAINTING
An acrylic painting on canvas 60cm x 30cm of the sun setting over the shadowed land. Night is approaching and the sun paints the sky with its sizzling rays in protest of its retreat. A painted memory of a romantic sunset. The sun is setting over the hill / the air is calm the night is still / It paints the sky with its sizzling rays / it retreats for the night until the next day….. Linda This was my first painting done on an easel my husband built for me. Featured in: MORNINGS AND EVENINGS, SUNSETS AND STORMS / MATURE WOMAN
Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England. It provides the perfect introduction to the National Park, its people, history and wildlife. Nikon D60 / HDR in Photomatix & pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/160 f/9.0 ISO200
Here’s a photo I took today of my little girl… she insisted on dressing up in her wings so I decided to go with it and this was the result! / Processed in RAW in Lightroom 2 / Nikon D200 / 18-20mm lens
