This is a quote made by the Joker in the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight. I believe the entire sequence goes like this: Joker: How about a magic trick? / [He twists a pencil into the table] Joker: I’m going to make this pencil disappear. [Gambol’s henchman tries to attack him; He then slams the man’s head into it the pencil. The man falls over dead.] Joker: Taa-daa!

Found a Dandelion Fairy in the yard while watching the sunset over the suburban rooftops and thought, hey.. Why not? And this was the end result!

“When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into darkness of the unknown. Faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.” Patrick Overton.

Eilean Doan Castle one of the Iconic Scotish Castles was just a magic place to visit and photograph. I spent close to 6 hours taking in the surrounds, the atmosphere and the serenity and of course the odd photo or two. Here is one of my favourites, I really like the balance of light and the reflections. I hope you like it too.

This was a beautiful place to be – when the children were there is became magical – every door opened wasn’t a garden it was the secret garden and we had to look for lepricorns and fairies and smell every flower and describe every tree.

Nature so is much more complex, strong and amazing than we give it credit for! And at the same time, it seems like we don’t understand how fragile it is. 2/3-2008 Thank you so much for your kind comments on my work! Words can’t describe how much that means to me. / With love from Stina.

Antelope Canyon is the most-visited and most-photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon formed over the course of millions of years by erosion of the Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding and secondarily due to wind erosion. Rainwater (especially during monsoon season) runs into the wash that Antelope Canyon is part of, picking up speed and sand as it rushes through the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways are eroded away, making the corridors wider and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form characteristic ‘flowing’ shapes in the rock. Lower Antelope Canyon, called Hasdeztwazi, or “spiral rock arches” by the Navajo, is located a few kilometers away from the upper Antelope Canyon and is a more difficult hike. In a magical moment between night and day, there is a special place and time. The time between seconds, when light and dark both have equal play. / So quick, so fleeting, this special time. / The blink of an eye and it is gone again. / The catch of a breath in the cold morning air, this special time between. / It is my passion to capture this time. / To freeze it and hold it forever. / An endless journey, an endless quest. / This one small moment in time. / Deri Dority 2007

I am dedicating this fractal to a great friend and wonderful photographer, Phil. We all know him here on the Bubble as Phil Thomson. Eilean Donan Castle one of the Iconic Scottish Castles was just a magic place to visit and photograph. I spent close to 6 hours taking in the surrounds, the atmosphere and the serenity and of course the odd photo or two. I hope I haven’t worn out my welcome but it was one of the most photogenic locations we visited to here is another one.

A montage of my photographs, the traditional Scottish Croft was photographed on the magical Isle of Ulva, Scotland and the woods were photographed on a misty morning in July on the Isle of Mull, Scotland.

Like a fairytale castle Mont Saint Michel at dusk in the rain, I got wet and cold but it was worth it for images like this.

Over time the passageways are eroded away, making the corridors wider and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form characteristic ‘flowing’ shapes in the rock. Upper Antelope Canyon, called Tse bighanilini, “the place where water runs through rocks” by the Navajo, is the most frequently visited by tourists, due to two considerations. First, its entrance and entire length are at ground level, requiring no climbing. Second, beams (shafts of direct sunlight radiating down from openings in the top of the canyon) are much more common in Upper than in Lower. Beams occur most often in the summer months, as they require the sun to be high in the sky. In the same series: / / /

My Work Was Featured In Fantasy Art / (Thanks Everyone) Read the Collaboration of Written Work by Tony Hedger Part 2 of 2 / The way to get there is many in choice, / But a good first step is the inner voice. / By air, or water, by earth or fire, / Fairyland is your hearts desire. There you are free, all you can be, / And everything is real. / You could sit for a while, / Upon a sundial, / And chase the rays of the light, / You could float on the air, / Without any care, / Or fly with butterfly wings. / Buzz with the bees, and fly through the trees, / Float down with the falling leaves. You could go on a boat, / Through sparkling waters, / Made out of the shell of a tortoise. / Sit in the ring where the fairies all sing, / Drink, dance, fairy fling. / Diddle on the fiddle, play fairy in the middle, / Sparkle, shine, drink buttercup wine. / T’is close, you must believe, / Just follow the voice from within.
