Acrylic On Canvas Was inspired to do this piece after watching the movie, “In The Mood For Love”. Set in the Hongkong 60s, it’s a tale of forbidden love, full of regrets and secrets. This painting is my personal interpretation of the following lines from the movie. “In the old days, if someone had a secret they don’t want to share what do they do? They went up a mountain, find a tree,carved a hole in it and whispered the secret into the hole. Then they covered it with mud. Here’s our latest addition to the family, Maggie. She is a short haired tabby, about 1.5 years old. For those who know of her, I am happy to report, she is adjusting quite well. In fact, the last 2 nights she has slept with us on TOP of the bed, instead of UNDER the bed. This morning she even crawled under the covers with me. She’s a sweetie…. she is still a bit skittish, but she’s certainly coming around. As for Mia, she is still quite curious, with an occasional hiss. I think soon they’ll be fast friends. / .

Today I found her on my table, where I do a lot of my still life photography. It is to bad I wasn’t prepared for her to be there. This shot is hand held, and only 1 of my lamps is on her. The other one, as well as the tripod were downstairs, where I was shooting Mia earlier. “
