Madrid airport is absolutely extraordinary – there are these amazing structural pieces that vignette from a bright yellow colour to deep blue, I’ve managed to capture the spectrum at the green to blue stage…. the roof has this amazing billowing waving curve to it. It’s almost space age!
Really an architectural shot of Atoche Train Station in Madrid but there was this guy sort of nicely positioned, with of all things a halo. Who knows maybe he was an angel or whatever.
Exactly the way it looks…it was a busy shopping day and I peeped into the PRADA store in Soho, NYC and captured this one. :) Sold 1 matted print to a RedBubbler.
Lego reconstruction of Henri Cartier Bresson’s 1933 photograph ‘Madrid’.
A sweet temple in Madrid
Dolores Ibárruri Gómez, also known as La Pasionaria (The Passion Flower) December 9, 1895–November 12, 1989, was a Spanish political leader. This painting is dedicated to her. Acrylics, enamel, pastel and gold foil / Here / Best viewed in large format
Saw these two little girls having fun in Madrid…had to capture them. I used my Olypmus E-420 to quickly capture this shot, set to Auto! I then selectively reduced saturation (leaving the pink shoes pink!).
Taken at the Atocha Train Station in Madrid, Spain as I was about to board the train to head off for the day in Toledo.
Taken in San Lorenzo del Escorial, a small town a little over an hour outside of Madrid, Spain.
THIS WAS TAKEN WALKING DOWN A WINDING STREET IN MADRID. I WALKED PAST A MOPED , TOOK TWO STEPS PAST IT AND STOPPED BECAUES OF THE REFLECTION OF THE BUILDINGS BEHIND ME IN THE SIDE MIRROR. I JUST HAD TO GO BACK AND CAPTURE IT, TO ME IT SUMS UP MADRID PERFECTLY.
THIS WAS TAKEN IN A SMALL COURTYARD HIDDEN AWAY FROM THE MAIN STREET IN MADRID. JUST A ROUND COURTYARD WITH THE WALLS FORMING A HEXAGON SHAPE. IT WAS ONLY WHEN I LOOKED UP THAT I NOTICD THERE WAS NO ROOF BUT ALL THE WALLS CAME TOGETHER TO FORM THIS GREAT EYE CONFUSING PERSPECTIVE VIEW /
taken in madrid just walking along the fantastic characteristic narrow streets. the buildings on each side are about three stories high, and on a nice day if one looks up u can get natural sillhouettes with great contrast of the blue sky
TAKEN IN MADRID IN WHILE WALKING PAST ONE OF THE MAIN HUGE ROUND ABOUTS IN THE CITY. JUST LOVE THE LIFE IN MADRID. SO ACTIVE AND BUSTLING
This was a photo of Madrid Airport ceiling, as shown below. Being so close in look to Caramel Ocean, I had up till this stage, refrained from adding it to the portfolio. Until a few days ago when I thought about going through my older photos and seeing what I can edit and recreate. So ended this. I flipped it sideways, cropped it, turned it b&w and added a green filter. Soon as the green was added it reminded me of a corridor of an alien ship or prison. Something along the lines of The Alien Trilogy. Featured in Iberia / Featured in The Art Of Intrigue Canon SX100IS MCN: C27B7-7464D-51424
I TOOK THIS AS I WAS WALKING THROUGH THE MAJESTIC STREETS OF MADRID. ONCE I STARTED TO NOTICE THE REFLECTIONS OF THE GREAT ARCHITECTURE IN THE CAR WINDOWS I NOTICED IT EVERYWHERE! JUST LOVE HOW LIGHT BENDS AND REFRACTS ON OTHER OBJECTS.
These archways were found in Madrid, Spain. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. This shot was featured in the Tunnel Vision group.
Madrid, Calle Alcalá
I took this from a bus, while traveling between Madrid and Valencia, in Spain. I have no idea what this little village is called, but it was like something out of a movie. We past several of these on the 6 hour bus trip across the country. Spain has some spectacular scenery and quaint villages that almost seem trapped in time. Layered the original image twice, adjusted contrast and tone slightly. Added a texture layer from www.deviantart.com free use stock. Layered the texture several times over, adjusting the constrast, saturation and lightness on each to vary the colour and tone.
