This is probably the last of my kitty pix as I just got bored taking pictures of them once their voices dropped. And that’s probably why they treat me with total indifference these days. In fact, just the other day Scratch finished his water (we don’t give him milk because he never deserves it), looked up at me and said: “SillyBoy… or whatever they call you on that bubble thing… you could have been great if you’d just kept on shooting us…” So I told him I’d shoot him if he didn’t shut up. This is Scratch, from the same shoot as CAT in BW. He’s a pedigree Blue Point and he knows it and has since grown to be a total pain in the butt. Our other Siamese is Pepsi who is a dime a dozen Apple Head and doesn’t know it and is totally OK. But he’s not as photogenic. Such is life. Grin & bear it!

“Ghost in the Machine” was the title of a book authored by Arthur Koestler. Koestler claims that mankind is moving towards self-destruction. Koestler states that the human brain is built upon primitive brain structures, and that these are the “ghost in the machine”. At times these structures can overpower higher logical functions, and are responsible for hate, anger and other such destructive impulses. The Police titled their 1981 album “Ghost in the Machine”. This is where I first heard of this concept. My t-shirt design interpretation of this attempts to graphically represent that man made machines manifest behaviours or events that cannot be explained. These behaviours or events are not programmed, they are the product of the machine taking its own course. These are reflections of our primitive destructive impluses within the machines that we have created…. as the machines are a reflection of us, they are likely to display self destructive behaviour just as we do….. Birch fences are part of my youth where I was living,at that time my mother was in chock seeing sheeps or cows in our vegetables garden and we could see hay bundles sleeping on the field.Of course I knew that if I followed the birch fence I would find the first blueberries for the love of my life,my father…a ritual I did for most of my youth. At first I only had a few bleuberries but what a treat I had looking to my father eating the first handful of those tasty wild berries.I was so proud and happy…. :)) / Taken with a D200 Nikon /
what!!! – don’t you have an imaginary friend? well… they don’t eat much, they don’t steal your favourite stripey socks or take up much room in the bed or channel surf while you’re trying to watch TV. ...mine is always daring me to do naughty stuff. close up of plastic letters / check out the ingredients tee range /

A spiral weather vane or wind vane made of colorful strips of cloth and sprockets, is captured in a way that creates an abstract, yet only some parts are sharp to give the viewer an idea of the object and how it works. / CONSIDER THIS IMAGE AS A COMPANION! /

Candid shot on Swanston St, Melbourne, VIC. I like trying and experimenting with different types of photography, into candids a bit at the moment.
