The little pony tried and tried until it managed to climb up onto the mare’s back. It was not easy, but it did not give up. I was lucky with the lights. In the background there was a dark forest hidden by shadow and the horeses were lit gently by the setting sun.
That would be good… / ... if everyone could live in human circumstances.

Easter is certainly the most eagerly-awaited festival in Sicily. In almost every town and small village, enormous efforts are invested in preparing for the processions and the celebrations of a rite that have changed little through the centuries. / The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ are re-enacted as acknowledgements of death and rebirth, not merely in the religious sense but in a more universal way. The processions move the sacred elements and holy figures through the street of the town, stopping here and there to re-enact the Madonna’s desperate search for her son, what happened along the road to Calvary and the events of the Passion. The old lady is looking through the window and watching the procession.
Unfortunately this is common scene of the cities. It would not be good if one got used to it. / Budapest, Hungary 2009.
