Here’s one I took today… I like it for it’s simplicity. This leaf also was placed on a mirror.

dragonfly got caught in the rain and had to dry his wings off before he could fly again.

Here is another one from my macro collection. Again, I’m my own worse critic so wasn’t too sure about this one so I’ll let you decide.

Sony H5 with M3358 close up lens. Cropped back from 3072×2304 to 1808×1360 and rotated it for better viewing. Yes I know I can up-size it back to 3072×2304 but that way you loose image quality IMO. Hence only available as card or matted print. If anybody wants the original shot or an up-sized version let me know. / / Have a look at my other photos. I found this piece of grass outside in the rain and couldn’t resist to take a photo, it just appeared so delicate in the rain.

Reversed 50mm macro shot of a blade of grass with dew drops on it. I tried to utilize the narrow DOF by maintaining focus on only a single droplet to emphasize its presence. Thanks for taking a look. Best Viewed LARGE

A split toned shot of an African Daisy after a heavy rainfall. I know they are beautiful as is but I thought this toned image made for a nice change.

Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain.

Another image from my “Ground Level” experiment! My entry in the “Planet Awareness” comp in Macro Untouched Group, because without little experiments like this, we are never truly aware of the beauty we take for granted beneath our feet each day.

Here’s is a macro shot of a bougainvillea flower which grows in my back yard. I actually had a few which I took and liked but narrowed it down to this one so I hope I made the right choice! Anyway.. Enjoy :o)

I am in love with split tone images at the minute…especially water droplets on flowers….leaves me breathless…I can feel a new ‘thing’ coming on…...... The one rainy day we had on holiday…...the kids were watching ‘Spiderwick Chronicles’ on my laptop…....the wife was reading…and I was lacing…stuck my head out the window and spied these flowers…they looked wonderful with the raindrops fresh on them. I stuck my long lens out the window and snapped this with a few others. I really like this and would hang it on my wall! The killer bit of this image for me are the three droplets on the s-shaped center of the flower.
