Title says it all :) There was a huge pile of leaves to choose from and I found this one on top of the heap. I never took closeups of leaves before so I discovered something I never realized before…....The colored shiny sides of the leaves held little or no droplets and the back sides of the leaves held all of the tiny droplets perfectly. Never knew that :)

I was extremely bored today and I wanted to do something creative so I found the bubbles and started blowing out in the backyard. It was a little windy today so it was a stupid idea but I couldn’t stop trying, I just wanted ONE ! bubble with some sort of reflection before it popped. It was a mess, dripping bubbles everywhere and dropping my camera around my wrist a hundred times and then POP…..too late ! but finally I got one I really liked ….it reminds me of a garden globe.

“The warning came too late…..no place to hide. We were down by the beach taking happy holiday snaps when the ocean started to recede. It took me a moment or two to realise what was about to happen. Everyone started to panic…..I could hardly hold a thought in my head with the sound of my heart beating and the adrenalin pumping through my veins. Then I remembered the cave we discovered at the end of the beach yesterday. That would be our only hope as we started to run. As we entered the cave I took one last look as the Tsunami hit….” Macro photograph taken from a palm tree, overcast day, camera set on aperture priority. Macro photography of bark, rocks and flowers are my passion. Always looking for that special ‘something’ thats a little bit different. Hope you enjoy my story and photograph!

A photograph of a bubble on some twigs….much like the other one but this one had a lot more reflections and colors. You can see my camera and my hand in the middle as well. / It is very yellow, I don’t know how that happened, maybe the gloomy grey skies. Most of them are clear with blue and pink streaks. This one reminded me of colored mercury glass. / (I added shadow to bring out the colors more.)

Took this macro photograph with aperture priority, late in the afternoon, it was getting quite dark so I used a flash on this shot! Just love Palm tree bark, this one had been burnt at some stage creating the charcoal sections. I have a few more fascinating photos which I will be uploading soon! / My passion is macro photograhy. I love to find hidden landscapes and abstract art in the bark of trees or in rocks. I also am quite partial to macro floral photography! From a taxonomic perspective, all members of the order Anura are frogs, but only members of the family Bufonidae are considered “true toads”. The use of the term “frog” in common names usually refers to species that are aquatic or semi-aquatic with smooth and/or moist skins, and the term “toad” generally refers to species that tend to be terrestrial with dry, warty skin. An exception is the fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina): while its skin is slightly warty, it prefers a watery habitat. / The habitat of frogs extends almost worldwide, but they do not occur in Antarctica and are not present on many oceanic islands. The greatest diversity of frogs occurs in the tropical areas of the world, where water is readily available, suiting frogs’ requirements due to their skin. Some frogs inhabit arid areas such as deserts, where water may not be easily accessible, and rely on specific adaptations to survive. The Australian genus Cyclorana and the American genus Pternohyla will bury themselves underground, create a water-impervious cocoon and hibernate during dry periods.
