Like most of my work this was taken not too far from my home… well mailbox actually. I went to get the mail and noticed a flower moving when there was no wind, under closer inspection I found this spider munching on a fly. I think it’s pretty cool how the spider hid in the middle of the flower where he blended in and waited for lunch to come to him.
I know I have the same photo on here already but this one I took the time to carefully and meticulisely go around it with freehand tool and make it so that the subject stands out. I actually like this one better than the original.
I might also post the original to this photo but I like this version best. It’s a small flower with and even smaller aphid or katiedid on it. The title of it is “Tiny” because the overall width of the flower is only about 8-10mm or roughly the width of your pinky nail.
Critiques and Comments are welcome :)
I’m not sure of the name of this plant but it has very small but beautiful flowers for a short time in Spring.
This little woodland jumping spider (genus Cytaea) was chasing a fly, and wouldn’t sit still. I only managed to get a couple of shots of him. Nikon D300, Tamron 90mm Macro, f32.00, 1/200s
