Location: Sylva, North Carolina / Camera: Canon Rebel G EOS 35mm / Lens: Tamron 28-200mm / Settings: Macro Mode / Edits: Cropping done in Photoshop CS3 I found this extremely tiny mushroom covered in snow right near the toe of my boot as I walked through the woods. I almost stepped on it. I loved the challenge it presented for my camera, as the macro settings on my camera didn’t even want to capture this one it was so tiny. But somehow I got it done and this was the miraculous result. Enjoy!

Hidden among the towering blades of green grass a tiny mushroom has been discovered.
Not much to say about this one really – it’s a macro shot of a flat mushroom!
Mushroom
The mushroom. Why does the mushroom grow in darkness? / - because it carries a hidden secret. / Why does it need a wet environment? / - because its secret speaks of emotions. / Why does it cloud the mind? / - so that the heart may speak freely. / Why is it so rare and beautiful? / - jewels are hard to find. Embrace the secrets of the one that grows in darkness. Most hidden jewel of the mind, unknown gates it opens. Surrender your will and taste the flavor of the forbidden seed. / Fear isn’t your foe but your ally in winning. / Whisper the reason that makes you doubt yourself, to trace the path of bravery and strength. / Bury the fright in your nightmare’s shelf, for there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Dare and taste the Magic Mushroom.

Tiny, tiny mushroom I found. Decided to try and experiment with the camera a bit and see how it would turn out. This was the best picture so far.
