Illustration as an outcome for a hypothetical Australia Post brief requesting a series of stamps for the theme ‘High Tea’. The stamps were to work as a continuous image if put side by side. Acrylic on Plywood (actual size 1200×300mm) and post production in PS CS.

Temptation is difficult to resist, especially when I’m tempted by such attractive morsels like these macaroons, so brightly coloured and scrumptious looking. Fortunately I find them far too sweet for my taste and am happy to admire the way they look, draw them and leave them for others to enjoy.

An irresistable display of rainbow coloured macaroons in a bakery on Rue des Martyrs, Paris. Taken through the shop window gave the image a fog like appearance. Slight adjustment in “levels” removed it. Panasonic G1, macro setting / 1/6th second at f5.6 / ISO 400
