This was written on an overnight bus trip….... I’m using your name / / to pin my breath down / / to the window pane of / / the night-time Greyhound / The road slips away / / with flashes of light / / the moon paints the darkness / / with splashes of white / And I’m coming home / / so I’ll be there when you wake up / / I’m coming home / / So there’s no need for this ache ha? / / I’m coming home / / so I’ll be there when you wake up / / I’m coming home / / So this distance will not break us The radio coughs out / / it’s favourite song / / the old man beside me / / is singing along / / They’re all the wrong words / / And none of them rhyme / / but he’s off with a girl / / from a different time / And I’m coming home / / so I’ll be there when you wake up / / I’m coming home / / So there’s no need for this ache ha? / / I’m coming home / / so I’ll be there when you wake up / / I’m coming home / / So this distance will not break us / The roar of the engine / / keeps the people from sleep / / but I’ve found the silence and / / I’m sinking in deep / / I think of the future / / I think of the past / / That you are a present / / and I want you to last So I’m coming home / / and I’ll be there when you wake up / / I’m coming home / / So there’s no need for this ache ha? / / I’m coming home / / so I’ll be there when you wake up / / I’m coming home / / So this distance will not break us

I’m thinking Thinking about you and the situation you’re in You have fallen for a fickle child who will choose the apple and only think once she decides But I who am not sure of anything I am sure of you In time I’ll show you everything this you need to know So please be patient Don’t make me hurry ‘cause I take a while to unfold I know you’re curious at what’s at the core of me but take a look in the mirror that’s my entirety I who am not sure of anything I am sure of you In time I’ll show you everything this you need to know I know you’re trying to compete with my indecision that refuses to let me go I know you think I might love you today but so what of today if I won’t love you tomorrow this you need to know I who am not sure of anything I am sure of you I won’t change my mind again this I promise you

This is a list of the Photography I have entered into the Music/Photo/Illustration Contest on Red Bubble. To find out more about this contest have a look here A lot of my photography is based on feelings and emotions … as such I often link them to songs because I feel such emotions etc with those songs and I try to match the song to the photo. I think the best way to view my work with this in mind, is to open each link I have provided here in separate windows or tabs. The photo is supposed to be seen while you hear the music (in most cases) to extend the emotion I am trying to convey to you. To open the Photo and the Video in separate windows or tabs, simply right click each link (Photo Name and the Watch link) … a box should pop up and you should chose open (or view) in a new Window (or tab). Then while the Video plays and you listen to the song, you can still see my photograph and hopefully gain a little more from that. When finished simply close the windows. Don’t wanna post a writing, as i’m not really a writer.. so i’d post this as a journal instead.. It’s kinda like a lyric.. Inspired by a malay song, Di Pintu Mahligai (At the Palace’s Gate), by an old malay band, iklim. Wrote this 9 Sep 2006.. i dedicated this to a friend i’ve lost, Brown .. / At Heaven’s Gate / My world turn silent, / Since the day you left. / And the pain is killing me slowly, / Each time i recall the day i couldn’t find you, / And i remember the night we last met.. / / You were so possessive, / So unwilling to leave, / So unwilling to let me go.. / You told me your fears, / I felt it, yet i brush it off.. / / I won’t forget your voice, / Asking me to stay.. / I won’t forget the look in your eyes, / Telling me “don’t go…” / / Now with my imaginary wings, / I wish i could fly over to you, / To tell you how much i love you, / To tell you how much i miss you.. / / I scream to the gates of heaven, / Can you hear me, my friend? / I scream for you to take me with you, / To free me from this pain.. / / I scream to the gates of heaven, / I need to see your face again, / I need to hear your voice again, / To tell me that everything is alright, / That you’ll always be here with me.. / / I scream to the gates of heaven, / Can you hear me, my friend? / Will you wait for me by the bridge? / I need to see you for one last time, / To tell you my love, / To tell you my goodbyes, / i miss you… fa

Pair artwork with lyrics of favorite songs, individuals or groups. List in the forum 5-10 of your favorite bands and performers. It will be interesting to see how many of the members in our group share the same passion for a particular vocalist, song writer and/or band. I have paired several of my photographs with lyrics from some very talented artists including: Bob Dylan, Pink, Iron Maiden, Michael Jackson, Carly Simon, Billy Joel, Maria Muldaur, Doors, Cat Stevens, Elton John etc. I have a file of many lyrics that I will pair with photographs that fit the theme of my photographic image. Music is a universal language to be shared. I have observed some artists painting the lyrics of songs as well as CD covers, one of the most underestimated art forms. The winner of this challenge will win their choice of a $20 voucher from Red bubble, the book published by Red Bubble, “In The Moment” or your choice of any card of one of the members of our group. I want to solidify the group experience by supporting our members and selling their cards is very encouraging and reinforcing. My hope is that every member has a card sold during their membership in this group. Also future gifts will be donations to charities that afflict our members to promote research and more effective treatments for medical and psychological disorders. Please submit your art paired with lyrics from your favorite artists by May 15th.

Wozers! I was just informed that my song lyric, “I Can’t Get Past Hello,” won the Dallas Songwriters Association’s “Lyric Only” contest in April 2008. The judges just returned their verdict! Now it goes on to the national competition, where it will be one of twelve to be voted on later this year. In the meantime, the association is distributing it to people in the music industry to see if there is interest in developing music and recording it. Wish me luck! Thanks!!

I am so pleased…thank you so much Sharon Mau / Softly as in a Morning Sunrise Softly, as in a morning sunrise / The light of love comes stealing / Into a new born day—oh / Flaming with all the glow of sunrise / A burning kiss is sealing / The vow that all betray / For the passions that thrill love / And lift you high to heaven / Are the passions that kill love / And let you fall to hell / So ends the story / Softly, as in an evening sunset / The light that gave you glory / Will take it all away

For the first time in well over a year now I’ve finally found the heart and the motivation to write music again about someone who moves my heart in ways only my sou’ls song can express. When I have recorded this I will share it with my friends on RB. It’s a soul/ R&B/folk style song which is what I do best. I wanted to share the words of my song with you all to inspire faith in love. Love Is Victory / by Tahnja Wolter A girl once torn and broken / You picked the pieces up / Gave me something to hold onto / A light through all the darkness / My love and greatest friend / You were the one who held the key / That no one else could steal Even through separation / Years couldn’t take away / A love that burned with intensity / Then when we reunited / Found that true love again / My heart had reached it’s destiny / In you my love in you Bridge: / And there is one thing I have learned through it all / Love has it’s enemies / They may have won the battle but they didn’t win the war / Our love is the victory A girl once torn and broken / You picked the pieces up / Gave me something to hold onto…........ /
