Acrylic on vinyl. “The owls are not what they seem” is a quote from David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. I developed an obsession with this show and this is what came out.
Salem Chapel, British Methodist Episcopal Church was once a headquarters for the Underground Railroad, the network that guided slaves from the United States to freedom in Canada. It was Harriet Tubman’s church. It sits on a shabby run-down section of Geneva Street in St. Catharines right across the street from the Golden Brothers Sports Bar.

This is a series of 30 sec. long exposures of Lynch Park in Beverly, MA. It was windy so the trees show movement.
Here it is one of my favourite illustrations done for my final Illustration project about David Lynch, presented after months of hard work and investigation. From a collection of 45 illustrations about his life and work, adding special items to a ficticious reedition of “Lynch by Lynch” from Faber&Faber editorial. This illustration have a real size of 60×40cms, is a drawing scanned with colors added digitally. From here, my deepest regards to Mr. Lynch N.

‘David Lynch Family Tree’ blood is thicker than reviewers…marginally…an ode to an amazingly psychoanalytical director and painter…I like deep red velvet curtains too! EDITION # of 20 SHIRTS
This is an acrylic painting originally painted on canvas panel. I was moved to paint this piece due to all of the escalating violence in Richmond, CA and the rest of the Bay Area.
Willem Dafoe – as Bobby Peru in David Lynch’s Wild At Heart.
Portrayal of the director, with liquid graphite and carbon pencil on paper. Lynch’s works, such as the wildly abstract film, Eraserhead, are characterized by surrealistic images that describe his artistic vision.
Personal work, used on my self promo items “Us and Them.. / the inner and the outer struggle… / The host and the parasite and the parasites’ parasites. / Coexisting and competing, racing and avoiding, / Spiralling and repeating.. destructive construction / You can see it in the eyes, the need to feed.” words for the Spooky Eyes contest

This was once a small store and taxi stand on Main Street of a thriving and growing small town in south central Virginia. Catastrophy struck and most of the businesses on that street burned in a terrible fire. The town never recovered it’s glory, and only the very oldest of the population even realize that there ever was a Main Street. This is one of two buildings that still stand today. This story isn’t all bad. The owner of this store moved his business right around the corner. He passed the store down to his son, and the son passed it to his daughter, and it is still in business today as a little country store for the community. Shot taken with a Sony S-650.

those who watched Twin Peaks will know
Well this is completely fucking weird and random and doesn’t make any sense. And it was taken exactly a year ago… and edited tonight. I have better photos from recent shoots to edit. But the last 24 hours I’ve been in a bizarre and insane head space.. no better way to take it out then to say I feel like this photo. It reminds me of David Lynch and drug movies (fear and loathing in las vegas). I will upload more stuff from my recent shoots. But I had to upload this. 2008 / Self Portrait, my nose is awesome. / and yes, that’s a wig on my head © Jessica Walker
