This photo was taken in 2003 at Marsaxlokk in Malta. This is a photo which I supported my 8 year old daughter Elysia, taking. She wanted to take a photo of this luzzu (a traditional Maltese fishing boat). I thought that she would have a great view. She has managed to capture the scale of the boat as compared to her size.

This spot is close to my family…my mother’s father and her mother’s father used fish and keep their boats here. / This was taken in 2006.

This is a nice sleepy little bay in Birzebbugia. These boats are called ‘Luzzu’.

This image was captured at Marsaxlokk, a quaint little fishing village in Malta. The water was a little murky and kind of greasy, no doubt caused by the diesel from the boats. This has probably caused the paint-like effect that seems prelevant in this image. I tweaked the brightness and colour saturation in photoshop but otherwise this picture is pretty much as is! It was a sunny day and that helped the colours to come out nicely..
