I find good vertical panoramas quite hard, just occasionally though in the forest a good one presents itself. Pine Valley – Tasmania in the rain.

The Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, Canada, is one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. Jennie Butchart began to shape this magnificent landscape in 1904. She established, in the style of the grand estates of the period, several distinct gardens to evoke a range of aesthetic experiences. An abandoned limestone quarry was transformed into the dramatic Sunken Garden. / In 1964, Ian Ross, grandson of the Butcharts, created and installed the Ross Fountain. The water rises 70 ft (21 m), providing a magnificent display.

This is a small “slice” of my mother’s garden; she is a master gardener. Anything she plants thrives beautifully, and my father is just as good as she is. He saves watermelon and tomato seeds when he eats at restaurants, dries them, plants them, and harvests a good crop later on. What a wonder my parents are; truly their hearts are in the garden.

Lovers key State park…..................... another look .. I hope you enjoy these.. there is a few more a coming…....... Fort Myers, Florida. Cybershot Sony DSC H 7 Lover’s Key is a small group of mangrove islands located in Lee County between Ft. Myers Beach, Fl, and Bonita Beach. It’s right on the Gulf of Mexico. The islands are collectively known as Lover’s Key State Park (formerly Carl E. Johnson Park). Inland backwaters full of fish, birds, and marine life, separate the islands from each other. Boats with motors are not allowed within the Park, but motorboats are allowed in the Gulf and Bay waters surrounding the Park, and there is a boat ramp within the park. This is to protect the abundant wildlife, which includes manatees, dolphins, various herons and roseate spoonbills, ospreys, bald eagles, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, snook, mullet, rays, and a large variety of shellfish. / ( all of these from this series are straight as is from the camera) ()
