This beautiful crimson rosella and its family feed on this grevillea every day, the shrubs are outside my kitchen window and are home to many different birds. They converse with one another and look for the best flowers. Taken with my Canon 40DSLR We have 42 native birds that we have identified and many more which we haven’t identified, We live on the edge of the escarpment in Balgownie, Wollongong, NSW, Australia. Just before this mommy ran over my head and tossed the bark on it, she did a little posing. Had I known she was gonna be a playful brat, I’d have set the Polaroid TZ4 on video and followed her path right up until she start getting ‘chippy’! This is a young mother and not one I know personally. She survived the poisoning and the fact she’s showing teats means there will be more peanut-snatching needle crawlers soon! Woo hoo!
